0.5 seems working for now on flypool.
removed bin from cache, rebuilt bin using one gpu, than started “main” bat.
i think all those restarts might be causing stales; i never liked restart tactics in btc land either (peeps were doing this with some antminer)
anybody tried to make gpu’s work harder instead of less?
0.5 rig uses 8-10% less power than on 0.4.1 and similar decrease in sol/s
Yeah, and also gpu usage stays at 75% at all time, I’m sure there is room for improvement
Work like a charm on pools without WarDiff
it occured to me that mining btc/eth/zec is perfect pensioner’s hobby.
you basically have to babysit it and get minimal in return; not for anyone working
make $20-30/rig/day while spending all day doing something.
i will wait and see if stability is increased, otherwise it is not worth it as anything other than a hobby.
knock on wood, but i have eth rig that is steady for 40 days and counting with zero maintenance.
that would be something to look for here eventually
lol. I hear you Sir :))
which pools are those
Can anyone help me?
I am running a multiple card rig but my RX 480 8GB is acting weird
Other cards are 290X and 290. running stable on +/- 25 Sol/s
But my 480 is acting weird and only giving max 10 sol/s.
How is this possible?
I always tell noobs who think they have found eldorado when they heard about mining, that there is no money to be made at all. Unless your lifetime is worth a dollar a day. But then you better go and collect a couple of empty bottles in the park every day and return them to get the deposit. Much more healthy too since you are at the fresh air.
Seriously, I think the future of mining is to use it to heat homes in winter. And there is always winter somewhere. No profit but free heating. If the upfront costs were not that high though.
Any idea why I get half of my real hash rate on fly pool ? It was working well yesterday.
everyone is having that problem
im geting clGetDeviceIDs on 7970… wierd thing is i can see gpu in device manager
miners were dying left and right and bam hardly at all look here and see this
now im just having problems with a few o/sol but took some advice above and think it might be vmem speed
share rate and miners seem overall stable now
unless for some reason genoils miner isnt reporting invalids or stales
gonna be nice to see how far miner devs and the pools can push this network
also will add i did flash back to stock on the worst rig dunno if its anymore stable than the others but lost a ton of hashing
each pool has different problems >.<
What settings do you use on your R9 270x , cant push it further than 7 sol/s:joy:
-P 1
You are trying to mine with the integrated GPU.
See --help for more options.
im getting 16-20 on a 370x cant believe 270x would be that far behind
mine is running stock bios
and thinking about this i have another somewhere i need to go dig out lol
I’m getting 25 Sol/s on a notebook with a i7 6700HQ. Without using the CPU boost at all so it could run 24/7 without getting warm. I think this CPU has a TDW of 45W only.
