Genoil's ZEC Miner

Nice to see this has also worked for you and improved. Ill take ya extra H/s for 24 hours xD or 100 Zcash for reward lmfao :stuck_out_tongue: The only thing I do not know is how much stress its putting on the card but its resolved the spiking up and down in terms of hash speeds. Restarted in above picture needed to do updates on system but its better than before until claymore comes out with his in next few day or so with 390s at 100H/s will be mega interesting see what he done for 489s

? like that?

Yup, just like that should be fine

thanks ill check it out… it worked fine for me out of box with that code but then after 30 min or so it just displayed 0sol on all 6 cards

There was a problem with flypool’s vardiff yesterday, so they turned it off. Now there is too much share traffic, and whenever there is a “connection hiccup”, GPU thread goes to 0 S/s:

zec-sa#2write: A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied

rx 470 4gb crashes with -k zec zec zec with cpu 1000 and mem 1800 @ 950mv w/ 1500 timings. too tired to flash the memory timings back to stock right now.

afaik, each ‘zec’ = 1 instance of miner. Each zec will take up approximately 2GB of GPU ram. There is no surprise your card crashes since it can handle at most 2 instances ‘-k zec zec’

You’ll need 8GB GPU if you want to run ‘zec zec zec’ or ‘zec zec zec zec’

thx, will save me the trouble of flashing tomorrow

3x XFX RX 480 8 GB, Crimson 16.10.3
stock BIOS (tried for hours to find a decent Heliox or Boysie that worked and screwed up… thank god for dual bios)
Windows 10 x64

Was getting 0 Sol/s across the board with -w 256. Changed it to -w 64 and bam. ~80 Sol/s

Thanks Genoil, you’re a saint. Switched over to your fork of the cpp-ethereum miner, too!

update: Two of the cards fail one at a time and yield 0 sol/s. Third one keeps chugging.
edit: running three instances, 1 per card. Seems ok for now. Will check again in the morning.

Why doesnt this shit(trick) work on Ellesmere RX 470 :O… Get the same hashrate, and crashes when using 6 cards.(Works on G1840 with max 3 cards, and is a little bit faster)

1x ZEC = 1690MB memory
2x ZEC = 3365MB memory
3x ZEC = 5034MB memory
4x ZEC = crash

Its so badly optimized that a RX 480 4GB is faster then RX 470 8GB (RX 480 is € 37 cheaper)

Best solution so far is to use the powershell script posted in same topic

Bat files are unreliable :frowning: (and become slow when more and more checks are
added)

Thank for pointing this out. Least we know more about the command and what it uses in terms of ram. Wonder how this will play on the 490s in 1st quater of 2017 with them being less power more cores and a lovely 16GB ram wonder what speeds will see then if this coins sustains its self. But for now am enjoying the rewards.

Hi ! So good result !
What setting do you have ?

I’m using -k zec zec zec

Can you show your bat file pls?
When i am using zec zec its over 30 per card, when zec, zec, zec only 15-20 sols

-k zec zec does not work with r9 280x… maybe something like zec05 zec05? so that it can use the 3gb instead of 2gb right now?

Guys, can you help me?

from yesterday I have got problem with hashing.

3x MSi r9 390. Tried all genoil versions.

Start genoil:

Hashing all card (90 sols)

After 5 min
Hashing two gpu
(60 sols)

After two hours
Hashing only one card
(29 sols)

After six hours
Nothing
0.0 sols

Can you help me?

How high are your clocks ?
