Global Ambassador Elzz August 2026 Report

Zcash Ambassador Report — August 2026

Reporting Period: August 2026

Ambassador: Elzz

Introduction & Monthly Summary

In August, I focused largely on Zcash onboarding, education and ecosystem participation.

The major initiative for the month was Proof of Privacy — #ZcashClass26, an online onboarding and education campaign designed to create a more participatory path into the Zcash ecosystem through community-led recruitment, live education and gamification.

The campaign launched with strong early participation, recording 112 registrations by the end of August, with more than 70 participants actively completing quests and competing on the leaderboard. The live education phase began on August 31, and the opening class on financial privacy recorded 116 attendees.

I also created educational content around the ongoing NU7 coinholder voting process and attended the Web3 Lagos Conference on August 29 to support a Zcash-sponsored activation convened by another contributor.

Content, Visibility & Community Education

This month, my educational content focused on Zcash onboarding, financial privacy, and helping the community understand current ecosystem developments, including:

  • Launching and creating supporting content for Proof of Privacy — #ZcashClass26, an online Zcash onboarding and education campaign.

  • Explaining the ongoing NU7 coinholder voting process, including how coinholders can participate in governance while preserving the privacy of their financial position.

Key Activities & Initiatives

Proof of Privacy — #ZcashClass26

The major focus of my ambassador work in August was the launch of Proof of Privacy, an online Zcash onboarding and education campaign.

One of the broader challenges with ecosystem onboarding is that reach and engagement do not always translate into active participation. Proof of Privacy was designed to create a more participatory journey into Zcash by combining community-led recruitment, live education and gamification.

Existing community members were encouraged to bring new people into the campaign, while newcomers could also invite others as they joined. Referrals were tied to the participation of the people invited, keeping the focus on actual involvement rather than tags or impressions alone.

I partnered with Gleyo, a Zcash-native community and campaign platform built by @gilmore to run the experience through quests, XP, referrals and a live leaderboard.

Distribution also extended beyond my immediate audience, thanks to @Zechub , Zcash Español and Zcash Ghana supported distribution through their own channels. Outside the Zcash ecosystem, distribution came also from the Blockchain LAUTECH community that shared and amplified the campaign within its community. These greatly helped introduce the campaign to audiences outside my immediate network.

By the end of August:

  • 112 people had registered for Proof of Privacy.

  • 70+ were actively completing quests and competing on the leaderboard.

  • 50 people set reminders for the opening live class.

  • 116 people joined the Day 1 Space on financial privacy.

The live education phase began on August 31, with contributors from different parts of the Zcash ecosystem joining as guest tutors throughout the five-day program.

Supporting Zcash IRL Activity in Nigeria

On August 29, I attended Web3 Lagos Conference in Lagos, where @Dre_Nesthub another Zcash contributor, convened a Zcash-sponsored activation.

As an ambassador in Nigeria, it was important to be present, support the activity and help where I could. I’m also glad to see more contributors taking IRL Zcash activity seriously and creating more opportunities for people to encounter the ecosystem physically, not only online.

Seeing more of these activities happen locally is encouraging, and it’s a joy to support them.

Community Growth & Engagement

Proof of Privacy produced the clearest community growth signal for August.

More than 70 of the 112 registered participants were already actively completing quests and competing on the leaderboard by the end of the month, showing participation extending beyond registration alone.

The campaign is also creating opportunities for participants already within the ecosystem to become part of the onboarding process themselves by bringing new people in and helping them stay involved.

Challenges & Adjustments

The main challenge during August came during the first Proof of Privacy Space.

Account-access issues on X repeatedly logged me out and caused the Space to end and restart several times. Despite the interruptions, participants continued returning and the session ultimately recorded 116 attendees.

I communicated the issue to participants after the session and worked on securing the account ahead of the remaining classes.

The campaign itself also required some minor adjustments with Gleyo as participation grew, and we continued refining the experience while keeping the core onboarding and education structure intact.

Next Steps

In September, I will:

  • complete the remaining Proof of Privacy classes

  • continue tracking participation and onboarding outcomes from the campaign

  • complete the final quiz, graduation and leaderboard process

  • review campaign performance and lessons from the onboarding model

  • continue educational content around financial privacy, Zcash governance and current ecosystem developments

  • continue supporting opportunities that strengthen Zcash visibility and participation within Nigeria and beyond

Conclusion

August gave me the opportunity to explore a more participatory approach to Zcash education and onboarding while continuing to stay engaged with current ecosystem developments and local activity.

Proof of Privacy became the main expression of that work during the month, combining education, community participation and distribution in a way that allowed people to do more than simply encounter information about Zcash.

Alongside this, I continued using current developments such as NU7 coinholder voting as opportunities for education and remained present in local ecosystem activity through Web3 Lagos.

Going into September, my focus remains on making Zcash easier for people to understand, participate in and find their place within.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the Zcash community and the continued support from @ZecHub and everyone.

Thank you so much for this Elzz :face_holding_back_tears::shield::heart: Really appreciate the mention and I’m genuinely glad Gleyo could be part of Proof of Privacy

It’s honestly been exciting watching the campaign grow and seeing people actually participate, complete quests and bring others into the ecosystem. Big shoutout to you for putting all of this together, I’m happy Gleyo could help support the experience :rocket:
