Global Ambassador Elzz May 2026 Report

Zcash Ambassador Monthly Report

Ambassador: Elzz
Reporting Period: May 2026

Introduction & Monthly Summary

May focused on ecosystem education through timely, relevant conversations already happening within and around Zcash.

While I spent part of the month recovering from illness and operated at a lower capacity than usual, I remained focused on helping users better understand important developments within the ecosystem.

The emphasis this month was on turning ecosystem updates and industry conversations into teachable moments, using them as opportunities to educate people about privacy, governance participation, and the practical value of Zcash.

I also continued representing Zcash in regional blockchain communities through participation in a Bitcoin Pizza Day event, where I engaged attendees in conversations around financial privacy and onboarded new users into the ecosystem.

Content, Visibility, and Community Education

My content focus this month focused on simplifying ecosystem developments and helping users understand why they matter. I took the opportunity to turn these updates into teachable moments.

Key topics included:

  • Privacy education following public discussions around Zcash transaction tracking
  • Governance participation through the new coinholder voting experience in Zodl
  • Financial privacy and Zcash awareness
  • Ecosystem updates and community education

One notable highlight was a repost from the founder of Zodl following my content explaining the new coinholder voting experience within the wallet.

Key Activities & Initiatives

  1. Ecosystem Education Through Teachable Moments

A major focus this month was leveraging ecosystem developments and conversations as educational opportunities.

This included helping users better understand:

  • The difference between shielded and transparent transactions
  • Why privacy protections remain important
  • Governance participation within the Zcash ecosystem
  • The practical implications of new features and updates

This approach continues to prove effective in making technical developments more accessible while strengthening understanding of Zcash’s core value proposition.

  1. Bitcoin Pizza Day Community Engagement

This month, I represented Zcash at a Blockchain Lautech Club’s Bitcoin Pizza Day event alongside @Omegaonchain using the occasion to introduce attendees to financial privacy and the broader Zcash ecosystem.

Activities included:

  • Privacy-focused discussions and education
  • Introducing attendees to Zcash and its use cases
  • User onboarding and ecosystem awareness
  • Conversations around financial sovereignty and digital privacy
  • Distributed $ZEC rewards to 13 new ZODL users

Event Metrics:

  • ~57direct interactions
  • 28 ZODL wallet downloads
  • 15 new Discord community joins
  • 37 interested ecosystem contributors (including 6 developers who were referred to the ongoing workshop hosted by @Dre_Nesthub)

Community Growth & Engagement

Community engagement this month reflected continued interest in privacy-focused education and ecosystem participation.

Conversations around shielding, governance, and financial privacy generated meaningful engagement, particularly when connected to real-world developments and current ecosystem updates.

The Bitcoin Pizza Day event also created additional opportunities to introduce new audiences to Zcash and begin onboarding conversations with individuals unfamiliar with the ecosystem.

Next Steps

  • Continue using ecosystem developments as opportunities for community education
  • Expand privacy-focused educational content for new audiences
  • Follow up with individuals onboarded through recent regional events
  • Maintain visibility around governance participation and ecosystem developments
  • Continue identifying opportunities for regional ecosystem representation and onboarding

Conclusion

May reinforced the value of meeting people where their attention already is.

Whether through ecosystem updates, industry conversations, or in-person community events, educational opportunities continue to emerge when complex developments are translated into accessible, practical discussions.

The focus moving forward is to continue building understanding, participation, and awareness around financial privacy and the Zcash ecosystem.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the Zcash community and the continued support from @ZecHub and everyone.
