How can I get notified when Zcash is ready for Windows?

I’ve signed up for the Launch Notification at z.cash. I understand the 1.0 version will not be available for Windows. How can I get notified when Zcash is ready for Windows?

Maybe there will be an email notification.

Can I run Zcash through one of these methods?

I would expect Zcash to work fine in a Linux guest VM on a Windows host (if the VM is given sufficient memory). It is likely to be difficult to compile on Cygwin.
