Looking For nVidia GPU Miner + Clean DL

Please stop telling incorrect information
If you went to nanopool the link for EWBF goes to here: https://github.com/nanopool/ewbf-miner/releases/download/v0.3.4b/Zec.miner.0.3.4b.zip

Just after the github.com it goes to NANOPOOL sub directory!! That is NOT the official download site of his software. That is a secondary site that nanopool has setup to download it and other popular mining software. They are more than likely legitimate copies of the original posting BUT you are NOT downloading directly from the original authors github site.

I apologize… You are correct. I guess I should have looked deeper into the URL. I still have issues that the bitcointalk gives a viral alert while the GitHub page doesn’t, but that’s for me to have. I will take a clean download any day of the week. Not to mention the fact they use a Google Doc link or the link from a very illicit file sharing site who has already been tied to child porn.

None of us know who is posting on bitcointalk and who they really are. We are going by our best guess, unless you can truly prove different? I have watched this game to many times in the past, like back in the days of downloads of software from P2P networks and such where the instructions gave us the same line… ‘just disable your AV. its clean, I promise’. I take lessons from the past, not keep repeating them. You do know the definition of insanity, right?

You guys can keep using the one that requires disabling your AV, Ill stick to the ones that don’t. Not to mention, Google wont allow me to DL it, this isn’t even my AV sopping it but Google itself. So even if I wanted to ‘trust’ everything will be okay because someone said so I only have the one option… GitHub.

Fair enough, right.

Then ask Avast to stop reporting it as a false positive if your not willing to put it on the avast exclude list.

Claymore doesn’t work with NV cards for Zcash mining but Claymore eth miner does work with both AMD and NV cards.

. did you try

dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner yet it only works with NV cards … . i don’t use any kind of ant virus to me it’s uses less it’s more about how careful you are online .because i’ve found over the years soft ware can’t stop being careless but that’s me .

[ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6.2 (Linux / Windows)

Hi HyJax… I’ve noticed that you are quick to attack those who are giving you good information. You really need to check yourself when you have the urge to bite the hands trying to help you.

CitricAcid has given you GOOD information only to have you snipe back. You should be listening rather than attacking for it.

With that said:

  • Always dl from GitHub and make sure it’s from the developers git and not a secondary git.
  • Avast is notoriously bad at calling legit s/w a virus.
  • NiceHash and you getting a Trojan/logger are two entirely different things and shouldn’t be conflated together. One has nothing to do with the other.

Hope you find what you’re looking for.

@nukepower I only use PCMatic now, and so far it has been great. Flawless whitelist/blacklist, no wonky side effects, plays nice with my more than 100 apps running in the background, keeps my registration clean…etc. No anti-virus at all is probably not a great idea.

That’s cool but been doing it for years !!! … but i also don’t click links in emails unless i know the sender or some links that pop up on the Webb … I don’t go to porn sites. I’m very careful were i go and what i do an i know no matter how careful I am i can still be hit with a attack at anytime .I used to use avast Norton etc years ago i don’t use UAC i hate it … i do use the fire wall in windows it does warn me if anything happens .some times but don’t use defender that is uninstalled in a custom wim file on a clean install with UCA.

I do online virus scans with Trend Micro etc or maybe i should reword what i meant i do use security soft ware but it’s not running on of my PC 24/7 and your only as safe as how careful you are on the Webb an no soft ware can fix that . but thanks for the Advice .I know what you mean …your right use some thing that was misleading saying it how i did …

  1. The vast majority of antiviruses (if not 100% of them) will not recognize the real zeroday threats (the ones everyone should be fearing here) 2. The vast majority of antiviruses will give you false positives on anything related to cryptomining.
