Miner- Claymore's Zcash Miner

Running Claymore Version 11 (now)
Win 10 (64b)
Catalyst 15.12
-i 8
running with ASM on
1 Nitro R9 Fury (monitor) @ 356 , goes up to 380 when I turn the monitor off
4 Nitro R9 Fury’s @ 389/392
2 Nitro R9 Fury X @ 419/422

Ran for 18 hours no restarts!
My constant average is 2746

I went to check on it because my average dropped to 2600, log file was over 70mb’s, stopped and restarted claymore, and SOL’s were very bad - 70-90… restarted system and everything went back to normal, see screenshot

Hello.
My miner crashes very often . I use claymore v11 with Radeon Crimson 15.12 driver on Windows 10 freshly installed .
Few minutes after i start it i get a BSOD with something like this :
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (atikmdag.sys)
And the computer restarts.
The mobo is a MSI z77a-gd65 with 3Gb of RAM and 32GB virtual memory set by me, a shitty Intel Celeron G…something CPU, a toshiba 5400 rpm 80GB laptop HDD, 2x600W + 1x700W Corsair PSUs and 6 x Gigabyte HD 7970 GPUs.
Moreover ,If it doesn’t crash from the start ,after i start the Claymore miner and it connects to the pool (btw i tried to mine ZCL on Suprnova) and mines for less than 1 minute , i get this error :
WATCHDOG: GPU 4 hangs in OpenCL call, exit…
And whenever this occurrs the Claymore miner freezes and i cannot close it , not event from task manager… This is so annoying because i lost so much time trying to put this miner online and i cannot spend too much time on debugging it because of my daily job .
What do you guys think is the issue ? Is the CPU a bottleneck ? Should i migrate to Linux ? if yes what distro would you recommend ? Please help me !
Thanks!

Remove gpu 4 and see if it makes a difference. Start from a place where it works.

Clean install drivers
Install 1 gpu and test.
The add one more

v11.1 released …

Not much difference in hashes but better on efficiency
5x nanos
1600 sol at 730w @ wall
Claymore v11.1

I removed the GPU 4 and started the miner. After less than 1 minute i got the same error but for a different GPU. I removed that GPU also and started the miner but got the same error for 2 other GPUs. Tomorrow i hope i will uninstall and reinstall the driver and start over again…So you say after i reinstall the driver to put only one GPU and mine for few minutes to see how it behaves ? Then add a second GPU and mine for few minutes and so on ?
Btw is there any difference in hash rate bwtween Linux and Windows ?

with v11.1 i am getting ZecMiner64 low memory error message but with v11 i dont get any low memory error messages.

going to stick to v11 for now.

My R9 Fury’s getting 405 sols each on v11.1…nice!

Hi,

I’m trying to get the clock, voltage and powerlimit options to work, but I’m guessing you need the AMD ADL for that. I just can’t get this installed on my Ubuntu 16.04.
Does anyone know a solution?

Nice improvement, RX 480 8GB - 260 Sol, 390X - 359 Sol.

I have RX480 and R9 Fury on the same PC, it’s impossible to get Driver 15.12 or 16.3.2 also have all the cards installed, any suggestion ?

Claymore 11.0 253h/s HD 7950
Claymore 11.1 263h/s

Nice improvement

Maybe I am misunderstanding but its very possbile just go to their page and choose previous drivers

Curious to know which drivers are you using and are you using -cclock ? or modded bio

to make it simply, I am curious to know how you have your’s setup.

I am getting 416 to 420 but not under volting

I am using 16.3.2 and no mods…all stock settings. MSI Z97 gaming board. I do not use -cclock. If you are using MSI Z97 board, make sure you set in bios latency 96 and gen 2.

I have 5 RX480 and one R9 Fury, my question was if possible to have 15.12 for R9 Fury and 16.3 for RX480.

you can run the 16.3.2

I have 5 R9 Fury’s and 2 R Fury X’s, I am running Claymore version 11.1 with drivers 16.3.2 with great results!
in fact since installing 11.1, I am 22 hours stable

If i try to install 16.3.2 My system crash on installing drivers. I’m not sure why…
