Miner- [NiceHash] Zcash CPU/GPU for Linux and Windows

trolloniex, can I damage my cpu if its constantly using 100%?

If your temps are in check and you aren’t overclocking life expectancy is roughly the same as what it would be not doing much.

DO NOT mine on a laptop.

Thanks man.

Any program to view temp and what would be a safe temp please?

Yes only on a pc, not a laptop.

What CPU ? (20 char limit)

i7 4770 (hehe good idea)

TjMax (Tjunction Max) is 100c for the i7 4770

Anything under 65-70c is fine (depending on ambient temperature ofcourse)

Thanks for the info man.

Check HWMonitor for a temperature control.

Thanks man, will check that out now.

can we install it through debian?

I’m getting up to 90c.

Is there a way where I can use fewer threads to bring it down a touch?

If your using the Nicehash miner use -t 3 and if your using Rc2 use genproclimit=3

90c is scary I would get a better cooler :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for contributing.

hehe yep, working on it.

Will give it a go, thanks for your help.

Better, but need to drop it a touch more.

Getting around 80 now but lost around 5sol/s.

Ill sort it out now, cheers.

@nicehashdev - really need the deltas pushed into the linux version. Serious miner hashpower and developers are going to be using linux – not windows. Like wolf, I would really like to avoid reinventing the wheel.
