Miner- Zogminer: Linux SILENTARMY

Isn’t the deadline a month from now? For submissions its in 2 days but I think they can still optimize the code in the next coming weeks

Got it running now on Ubuntu!

1550H/s with 6x RX 470 stock settings

that would be nice haha. I think you may have a typo in your hash rate

I mean this :

My Hashrate: 2.10 KH/s

1 KH/s = 1000H/s right?

The logger outputs hashes/second. You are probably getting 2H/s

I see, that is some weird ubuntu issue, the first gpu hashes slow rest is good.

I used another Open GPU miner on ubuntu it had the same problem, running it on windows and the problem was gone.

We default to the first gpu in the device list, if that card is faulty it will report low numbers

The card is not faulty, like i said this issue is only on ubuntu, windows does not have this issue.

I just tried the “Primecoin XPM GPU Miner for xpmpool (aka. madPrimeMiner)”.

OS: Windows 10
GPU: 3x ASUS Strix RX480 8GB OC.
3x Powercolor 280X 4GB
Core(stock): 1310 Mhz
Mem(stock): 2000 Mhz
BIOS: Stock
Hashrate:
RX480: 17.0 Sols per card.
R9 280X: FAILED (I am guessing they have no mixed driver support) Will try with the 280X cards only later.
I would like to resolve this issue with Sols, Sol/s, H/s.

From my understanding since of the birthday problem the results are technically soloutins and not hashes.
So Sol/s is the same as H/s?

But I have seen on the forum people writing ie “8.5 Sols = about 4.5 H/s”. This to me just seems very confusing.
Can someone please clarify this?

It is said that the Hashrate is calculated like this: H/s = ~ 1/2 Sol/s ±

Overall it is really confusing, because some pools use KH/s and something like that … I would trust only the Sol/s values.

1 run of the equihash solver will produce on average 2 solutions. Each solution is a hash.

Yeah exactly. So that would mean the expression Solutions per second is the same thing as Hashes per second.
Hence Sol/s = H/s. So I do not get why people say @neox “It is said that the Hashrate is calculated like this: H/s = ~ 1/2 Sol/s ±”

neox statement would mean 1 Hash is built up of two Solutions. Ex.:1 H/s = 2 Sol/s. But this makes no sense. And just confuses me…

That miner actually says XXX Sols. Yeah okay… but over what time? The number of solutions just by itself is not interesting if I do not get over what time these solutions were found. But I assume when they write 17.0 Sols they actually mean solutions per second. But who knows…

“My miner does 55 Sols… in an hour…”

HI,

I’ve a nvidia card, where can I find info for a gpu mining?

Thanks.

I have followed the instructions in the README.md on GitHub - nginnever/zogminer: an OpenCL Zcash GPU miner

But when I run the GPU test miner I am getting the following error:
Invalid Solution: Index tree incorrectly ordered

Any ideas on how to fix this issue.

Thanks for your assistance

My RX 470 cards are being detected by clinfo

consider that repository a working in progress not jet released … we will read a post to try

No worries, thank you for all your hard work.

I thought that I would just let you know that I was experiencing an issue.

Read what your saying and look at the results…

When you test your card with benchmark it gives you say 4 h/s and 8 sol/s, if they are the same then why are they two different results?

October 25 Update:

The solver is finally working. Blame a stupid mistake on my part. I have added solo mining support and stratum support (only with pools that support ZCash spec).

We are aware of all the stability issues and are actively trying to figure out what is happening. Next up will be multi-gpu.

I have not been very active here because I am giving it all I got to get things working.

That’s great, Omar! Congrats on the progress!

Great job!thanks for let us play in this
