New message in genesis block that is not same as Bitcoin's

Reading through chainparams.cpp in the source code I find this line:

const char* pszTimestamp = "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks";

This is the same message that appears in the genesis block for Bitcoin. I think it would be a nice idea if we changed this message to reflect something about Zcash and about the time of its release (28 Oct 2016).

Suggestions anyone?

Change it. I don’t care what it is as long as it is not kept the same.

Weird that it’s a link from the UK News (not sure where devs were from). Where are the main zcash devs from: US presumably?

As I understand the message was purely to “anchor” the genesis block to a particular time in history. Yes, it is interesting it was a British newspaper.

Yep, we’re aware of this, and we’ll find something appropriate. Zcash has an international team so the headline we choose could be from anywhere.
