Hello everyone, sorry for jumping in but. Is there a limit to start new topics? I am a new zcash user and trying to understand how the forum works. Thank you in advance

New users are unable to create new topics until they have participated in the forums for a while. This is to make it more difficult for scammers to target forum members.

How can I post on the community forum? I’m interested in a platform that can be setup on a merch. site and will provide payments/checkout using Zcash. Thanks.

Hello, I d like to start a technical topic about what would happen if the non degeneracy criteria of optimal ate pairing would get broken (what would happen if finding a billinear pairing returnning the 1 finite field element).

Would it allow double spending? Of course, I m not allowed to start new topics.

Done, user had hit the “new user typed too fast” flag from the system and was flagged as a potential spammer.

This usually happens when a new users first post is a copy/paste of a lot of text/links.

@Dodger what is the forum’s config to level up and be able to post topics? I’ve been reading things for 30min-ish, dropped likes and explored the forum quite a bit, but I’m still not able to post a topic. Would be nice to know as what point new joiners are able to post in here :slight_smile: . Do we need hours worth of engagement? days? months? (e.g. as done on blog .discourse.org/2018/06/understanding-discourse-trust-levels/)

It’s combination of posts read, posts created, likes, and engagements to be able start a new topic.

We don’t post what exactly the amount/combination is because that would inform the spammers how to program their bots to bypass the limitation.

As far as a people you know wanting to create a fresh account and make a new topic at the same time, it’s best to send one of the @ moderators a DM and let us know the handle so we can bump the trust level up for them.
