NiceHash EQM Zcash NVIDIA optimized miner [Maxwell + Pascal @ Win + Linux] + CPU Mining [v1.0.4c] 400 Sol/s @GTX 1070 (stock)

As of right now I am choosing to mine with EWBF on my 1070 because I just want the zec. But I have 2 gtx 970s on the way and will probably mine with nicehash and then buy zec with the btc after.

What speed you getting with EWBF?

270 sols/s EVGA GTX 1070 3.0 acx

I think the 2 gtx 970s I’m waiting on should be about 190 sols/s each as well

At that point I will probably switch to nicehash though because I’ll probably end up with around 900 sols/s on the three cards.

It might be faster for 1070, but for 1060 and 1080 EWBF is more profitable. EQM is super unstable on my side, whereas for EWBF it just “works”. I would reconsider EQM if 1. it becomes more stable and 2. brings constantly 11% more speed than EWBF (because nicehash tends to take a 10% cut and EQM locks you on nicehash).

You say that on GTX 1060 EWBF is more profitable even though I’ve shown that EQM’s produces a much higher performance (23%) and it has a stable speed vs EWBF which fluctuates a lot. I guess you won’t show your real performance metrics because you haven’t learned to stand for your words. Overall I wonder if you’re just retarded, insane or just alternatively gifted.

I have an average of 1100-1200 on 6x1060 GTX using EWBF, if I use EQM 1.0.3b I get with same clock settings 1300-1400 sol/s so a 16% speed up at best but crashes more than EWBF.

For 6x1080 GTX using EWBF I get 2000 and with EQM I get 2100, so a 5% speed up, but again crashes more than EWBF.

Long story short: if I run with EWBF on miningpoolhub I make 3 more a day than with EQM. Which is not a huge difference considering nicehash's cut is included but still 100 a month… Plus if I want ZEC I still need to trade them because I get paid in BTC if I use nicehash (unless there is a configuration I missed).

Lowering TDP on GTX 1070 can make this card hash at around 305 Sols/s and just 90 W of power usage (wall).

That is efficiency of 3.4 Sol / W. Is there any miner/card better than that around?

Approximately what do you lower your TDP setting to?

Disregard - Just realized all I needed to do was take 90/150 = 60% and reset my TDP. Significantly more efficient at 60% power limit. Thanks.

How did you lower TDP ?

lowering TDP gives you 13% less sol/s but 36% less power

6x GTX1070 per rig

hashing went from ~2220 to ~1915 sol/s = ~13%
power sent from 152 to 96 watts = ~36%

= 8kwh less power x 0,2115 euro = 1,70 euro
= 1,21 euro less profit

so its about 50c per rig/day more profit (15,20 euro/month - 182,5 euro/year)

And thats excluding turning down all the external fans of all the rigs to keep airflow/cooling in order.

Sorry for nitpicking, but that should be 3.4 (Sol/s) / 1 (J/s) = 3.4 Sol / J.

Or, inversely, a solution energy cost of 0.294 Joule,
which is how energy efficiency is expressed in bitcoin
(substituting a billion hashes for a solution).

You can lower TDP by changing the power limit setting on either MSI afterburner or EVGA Precision OC tuner. I personally like using EVGA Precision. Slide “power target” down to 60% and click apply.

Mine was already running at 60 % but thanks for the tip.

There is a way round, I use cryptonator here is my referral link (https://www.cryptonator.com/auth/signup/101193394). SIgnup, they support quite a lot of currencies, generate ur bitcoin address from there, drop it in your nicehash reward, once they pay you out, it comes to ur wallet at cyrptonator and there, you can cash it out as ZEC directly equivalently. I use them and enjoy them.

Yes, correct, missed Sol /s there.

Anyway, we have even more efficient miner in the works. It can go beyond magic 400 Sol/s and it has efficiency of almost 3.8 Sol/s / W.

Good news  !!!

nice but perhaps add fallback options (e.g. failover to USA, recheck EU) etc when your servers are having issues again. Its not that hard to reconnect to EU while issues and mine on USA (or other working) while there are issues or to have the miner die as its retrying/submitting shares and you are not getting and work back so burning power etc etc etc

When to expect this miracle?

Working on it. GTX 1080 stock has 410-420 Sols. GTX 980 Ti around 400 Sols.
