It’s Black Friday. What matters most?
The Sapphire 470/480 OC cards are the best. Why should I buy 8 GB vs. 4 GB when my current 470 OC 8GB is utilizing 2300 MB, according to GPU-Z, and mining at 180 H/s? 4 GB should do the same?
My gut says go cheap and beautiful 4 GB cards to complete my 7 GPU rig. Why not?
The 8GB cards use Samsung memory with different timings and better OC capability.
My Sapphire RX470 Nitro+ 4GB Hynix cards run at 1900MHz with the timings from the 1375strap, and run into a few memory errors.
The Sapphire RX470 Nitro+ 8GB Samsung testcard I got yesterday, runs at 2135 MHz with 1500strap timings, no errors what so ever.
Claymore V8
4GB: 182,8 Sol/s (4 hour average) 1388MHz core clock, 1900MHz memory clock
8GB: 191,3 Sol/s (4 hour average) 1400MHz core clock, 2135MHz memory clock
I know, core clocks differ, but I have not had a lot time to twiddle and twek.
