Toomim Bros GPU mining software and cloud mining

ok ,I will change, now.

Can we please hold off on discussing the compensation details for a few days? It’s not a time sensitive discussion. Getting our service working is.

Can you please check my Supra Miner: Midas.Toom

Do not get any hashes

I have changed to : eu1-zcash.flypool.org. Will it be, reset Automaticly?

That is unacceptable considering the fact that ZEC is no longer trading at hype prices. I don’t want the dust anymore. It’s not even ‘first day dust’.

Do the math. Everyone knew 80ish ZEC would be mined the first day. People flipped out on dust - as expected. Expectations are way saner now.

Are you kidding? You were supposed to have that working when you bragged about it. What are we going to do? Are we supposed to do the work for you after having funded you? Are you kidding?

can we just change to stratum+tcp://zec-eu.suprnova.cc:2142 now? is this pool work well?

I can’t really tell how well suprnova is working, since I can’t see the customer UIs with suprnova. It looks like suprnova is accepting our shares most or all of the time.

suprnova tends to give higher difficulty jobs than flypool does. We had another bug in our stratum code that made that a problem before, but I think we’ve fixed that now. It’s probably fine now, but without seeing the UI I can’t be sure.

Almost. We currently have code that requires us to press a button every now and then before new data is pulled in, but the code to automatically reload when changes are made is written and now being tested.

You were supposed to have that working when you bragged about it.

This is accurate. We totally should have.

In all fairness, though, the vast majority of problems we’ve had have been related to our cloud hashing code or our stratum, not to our actual miner. The cloud mining was originally not our plan, and we had to rush to get that stuff implemented. We advertised the performance of the miner before we knew that we were even going to offer cloud mining. If we had been solo mining using GBT, as was our original plan, things would have gone a lot more smoothly. Oh well.

What are we going to do? Are we supposed to do the work for you after having funded you?

No. I’m just asking you to be patient, and let me and my crew concentrate on engineering for a couple more days.

That’s the problem You haven’t fixed well. You should make a mining test For all buyers Before the lanuch, but You were always concentrating on selling.

We have rolled out a change that assigns one GPU per customer instead of one rig (6 GPUs) per customer. This should reduce the hashrate variance, especially for smaller customers.

Once we catch up in the number of hashes owed, our code will start assigning jobs based on who is the farthest behind where they should be, rather than just randomly weighted by how much hashrate was purchased. At that point, variance should go down a lot farther.

getting 20 Hashes now with Supra!
Though much less then I am suppose to get still…

I’ll accept that as an implicit admission that terms of contract were breached.

Fine. I will stop when I have acknowledgment that refunds will be made to those who want them. I absolutely would like for you to get to working that which seems to have worked for you up until recently. I have no issue with that. I have issue with marginalizing people who are facing BS placation after the hype has already passed.

That only seems fair to me.

Isn’t it a 3 month contract? if you’re in it for the hype you should have mined yourself or purchased hashing power from nicehash…

it doesn’t make sense to buy a mining contract if you’re not in it for the long hall…

Just my opinion.

I really don’t think we can get investment btc back only mining after the first day hype. All buyers need an refund option If they want.

@jtoomim Hi, Just curious… would it make sense to solo mine and apportion the earnings by hashrate purchased? this will give you time to fix your stratum implementation? not sure of the practicality of this suggestion…

Most of the people asking for refunds wanted a refund before mining even started. If they were in it for the long haul, they would be fine with compensation rather than a refund.

Anyway, we’re currently at about 75% of the hashrate we promised. I think we should be able to get above 100% tomorrow. I’m exhausted, and I’m going to try to get a couple hours of sleep before my last two employees leave for today.

Are you aware of the ZCash schedule and the laws of ‘supply/demand’?

All Toomim had to do was work on the first day. He had one job…that he said he could do…over a month ago.

"Long haul’ arguments are moot here. Launch day of relevant cryptos happen how often?

Well fine then. Can I have a refund?

I asked after mining failed.

All i’m saying is that a mining contract may not have been the best option if you just wanted to make a quick buck in a single night(I’m in australia it was night for me). The much smarter thing would have been to spin up some AWS GPU instances and mine for 24 hours. you could have made $$$$ when the price was 1500BTC/ZEC or higher.

I think that you’ll still make a return even with the hiccups at the start.

If they were in it for the long haul, they would be fine with compensation rather than a refund.

This is true if compensation manged to cover what investors lost out on. However giving people the ZEC that they would have mined on the first day, after the price has dropped, and after the supply has gone up exponentially doesn’t make any sense.

Also if you had any moral decency you would be refunding people and sleeping 1-2 hours a day until this is sorted out. After taking in all that money, it’s the least you can do. You bought GPU’s with their money, you may as well buy red bulls with it too.
