hi? how to convert the z-address to t-address?
the binance and trust wallet don’t allow for t-address.
thank you!
Hi @goat , the good thing about Zcash is once you have funds in a Z-address, you can send to both Z and T addresses.
You make a transaction normally: sending from your Z → to T of binance.
Hi @Shawn and @str4d:
hi, a have a case.
I have an z-address: ztestsapling1y8mju6qe2x…qsashhyjjh9k3e2zdqesva452y
then I used this address to gen a new diversify-address.
Then user send some ZEC to the new diversify-address.
But then, we cannot send ZEC to t-address with from address ztestsapling1y8mju6qe2x…qsashhyjjh9k3e2zdqesva452y.
this is a send cmd:
z_sendmany "ztestsapling1y8mju6qe2x...qsashhyjjh9k3e2zdqesva452y
" '[{"address": "t1P43TZba1srKHZ...YRYhjhdkHFrB8", "amount": 0.01}]'
I check the z_getoperationsatus, and received this error message:
"id": "opid-0fcc2f08-cee5-4162-9f6a-88f38c6e98fd",
"status": "failed",
"creation_time": 1611813534,
"error": {
"code": -6,
"message": "Insufficient funds, no unspent notes found for zaddr from address."
},
"method": "z_sendmany",
"params": {
"fromaddress": "ztestsapling1y8mju6qe2x...qsashhyjjh9k3e2zdqesva452y
",
"amounts": [
{
"address": "t1P43TZba1srKH...YRYhjhdkHFrB8",
"amount": 0.17
}
],
"minconf": 1,
"fee": 1e-05
}
}
]
So I need to call z_sendmany or z_mergetoaddress to send zec from the diversify-address to the ztestsapling1y8mju6qe2x…qsashhyjjh9k3e2zdqesva452y before send to the user?
Yes, each diversified address has its own balance. They share the same private key, but their balances are separate and distinct.
So should I use z_sendmany or z_mergetoaddress to send zec from the diversify-address to the main wallet?
How is this a good thing t address are useless monero being only default privacy ranks higher than zcash and we still are afraid of regulators?
