Hi everyone,
My name is Rems. I have been active in the Zcash ecosystem and have contributed through the Zcash Bounty Program. My focus has been on simplifying Zcash for new audiences, creating beginner-friendly content, and highlighting community-driven stories. This proposal builds on that experience by extending Zcash’s reach to an entirely new audience on Snapchat.
I’d like to propose a 3-month pilot campaign to bring Zcash awareness to Snapchat, one of the largest social platforms with over 400M active users most of them 18–34 years old. This audience is highly engaged with short videos, AR filters, and stories, yet Zcash has very little presence there today.
Other crypto projects, including Bitcoin, already have official AR filters on Snapchat, proving that this platform can be an effective way to spark curiosity and start conversations. Launching a Snapchat campaign for Zcash would not only modernize outreach but also position ZEC as a privacy-focused digital currency with a fresh, accessible image.
Why Now?
-
Snapchat remains underutilized for crypto, leaving a gap Zcash can fill.
-
Younger demographics are curious about privacy and finance but prefer content in short, creative formats.
-
Zcash needs new visibility channels outside of X (Twitter) and Telegram to reach beyond the crypto bubble.
What This Project Will Deliver
-
30 short videos + 24–36 casual Snapchat stories over 3 months.
-
2 custom AR filters branded for Zcash (e.g., “Privacy Shield” or “ZEC Rain”).
-
Targeted Snapchat Ads to boost reach in key regions.
-
Transparent monthly reporting on engagement, filter usage, ad performance, and follower growth.
Budget
$13,500 total (3 months) covering video production, AR filter development, ad spend, and project management.
Outcome
This campaign will test whether Snapchat can serve as a scalable outreach channel for Zcash. Success would be measured in reach, engagement, filter adoption, and account growth. If results are strong, the project could become a foundation for larger Zcash marketing efforts in mainstream platforms.
