Zcash Beta2 is now Live on the Testnet!

The Zcash team has released Beta2 to the Testnet last night!

You will need to re-download and compile the latest version to connect to the Updated Testnet. This also means all of your previous Test Coins are invalidated.

but accually after i upgrade to beta2, i find that i cannot connect testnet

Followed the "just upgrade" note on the tutorial - works great.

After upgrading and updating Ubuntu, when I type in the following lines:

sudo apt-get install \
build-essential pkg-config libc6-dev m4 g++-multilib \
autoconf libtool ncurses-dev unzip git python \
zlib1g-dev wget bsdmainutils automake

it says:

"libncurses5-dev" is selected instead of "ncurses-dev"

and also:

E: impossible to find the bsdmainutils package

Someone can help?
(I am using Bash on Win 10)

Also note that if you have Tor installed, you can now connect to the testnet that way. Just addnode=zctestseie6wxgio.onion

Nice to see "sent" transactions show up under "listtransactions" command now...I did not see them on beta1

I haven't tried GUI wallet yet. Does it work on OS X :slight_smile: or only Linux?

For now the ZCash Desktop GUI wallet works only on Linux, but then so does ZCash itself :wink: When ZCash starts supporting Windows/OS X - the GUI will need a few tweaks but I will make it work...

There is another web-based UI wallet that may or may not work on other OSes... please ask user hellcat. He is the author.
