Introduction
Developer education is one of the most important drivers of growth for any blockchain ecosystem. While Zcash offers powerful privacy-preserving technology and a growing suite of modern developer tools, there remains a need for structured learning pathways that help new developers progress from understanding the protocol to building real-world applications.
To address this, the Zcash Developer Workshop was launched as a six-week virtual program designed to onboard developers through a structured, hands-on curriculum. Built around the philosophy of Learn → Build → Contribute, the workshop combined technical instruction with practical builder sessions led by contributors from across the Zcash ecosystem.
More than a series of educational sessions, the workshop served as the first implementation of a structured developer curriculum to create a repeatable onboarding framework for future Zcash communities, developer residencies, and educational initiatives.
This report provides an overview of the workshop, its curriculum, key outcomes, lessons learned, and the opportunities it has created for strengthening the Zcash developer ecosystem.
Workshop Overview
The Zcash Developer Workshop was delivered as a six-week virtual program designed to guide developers from foundational concepts to building real applications within the Zcash ecosystem.
The program combined structured learning, live technical sessions, and builder-focused guest talks from ecosystem contributors actively shipping privacy-preserving products.

We also had participants who were submitting for the Zechub hackathon join us during the live sessions to ask our guests questions in relation to their projects
This workshop demonstrated strong early validation of a structured developer pipeline for Zcash.
