Free2Z is under active development again recently with some ambitious new features brewing, as well as a more stylish return of some old ones.
- Security audits and updates landed
- Apps in test flight / internal test on Apple and Google stores with state-of-the-art ZEC wallet
- “login with Zcash” coming
- Better SRE and DevOps around a revamped zakura-based node so no dropped payments
- e2ee chat being implemented (with “apps” like FROST DKG eventually)
- microblogging coming back soon
- better looking layout evolving
- SSR for better SEO and chatbot discovery …
- open sourcing more parts
- clearer revenue share model to earn shielded ZEC in a reliable way
- …
Free2Z Live should be coming back regularly in the coming months as well!
We have a lot of things in flight now! My life went sideways about Nov 2024. It looks like I’m almost back. To give you an idea of the pace and scale of change recently, this is the history of contributions to free2z over time:
