Responsibilities: Build and Raise Zcash developers via Zcash Ghana Hackathon and developers workshop - Name: Parabole Role: Zcash Node and Server Management Background: Linux, cloud computing, server security operations, with programming skills in Python, Javascript, and Bash Responsibilities: Zcash Node setup and project servers Management ``` ### Project Summary To continue to scale the Zcash Ghana community activities through well informed Financial Privacy and Blockchain Educational contents resources, towards onboarding more Ghanaians and businesses to the Zcash Blockchain protocol. ### Project Description The Zcash Ghana driving focus is to continue onboarding Ghanaians crypto users and businesses to the Zcash blockchain through its mission of blockchain education and financial privacy. This project started officially on June 30th 2025 with the creation of its X (twitter) handle @ZcashGH, where contents promoting Zcash and financial privacy were posted. Also we have been able to host 10 X-Space events and 10 physical meetups and 6 workshops, where we have educated over 700 persons in all the in-person meetups about Zcash and onboard them to Zcash through the creation of their Zcash wallets. Currently, we have the skills to setup the Zcash Node and we have over 450 followers on our X handle (@ZcashGH). We were able to package the ongoing maiden edition of the Zcash Privacy Developers Residency Programme that brought over 10 developers from Ghana, Nigeria and Togo under one Zcash branded Residency facility to learn more about Zcash in a hybrid (actual and virtual) format to build privacy projects on the Zcash Blockchain Protocol and with facilitators from different Zcash projects/initiatives which include ZecHub, NozyWallet, Gleyo-App, Zutility, and ZOERDHUB. The Goal is to continue building an active Zcash Ghana community across various cities in Ghana. Educate Ghanaians about Zcash’s privacy features and real-world applications. Increase the accessibility of Zcash-related content and enhance user engagement through interactive activities, contests, and webinars. Encourage discussions on blockchain privacy and financial security within Ghana and ensuring wider adoption and understanding of privacy-focused blockchain technology in Ghana and Africa at large. 2. Zcash Ghana Workshop:
We were able to carry out the ZOERDPAY (ZEC to Fiat) project testing to get feedback, and it was officially announced on X, formerly known as twitter via the link below.

The ZOERDPAY project was developed to convert Zcash ZEC to NGN or GHC, which stems out from the recently concluded Zcash Privacy Developers Residency Programme. Thus, developed real use localized project on the Zcash blockchain technology.

PROJECT ERRORS DETECTED:
We noticed the following errors in the course of testing ZOERDPAY
1.If the ZEC sent by the user is below or above the required slippage, that particular transaction is not recorded, and even if the user tops up using the same wallet address used for initial payment, it still would not capture the balance payment made.
2.The Zebra node must be fully synced for recent transactions to be captured.

PROJECT CHALLENGE:
Uninterrupted power supply is a major challenge to the project right now because we do not have a standby solar powered system for the Zebra node that powers the ZOERDPAY project platform. So whenever there is power failure, the Zebra node stops running, which in turn affects negatively the ZEC to NGN or GHC transactions happening at that time.

It is key to note that steady and uninterrupted power supply is required in order for the Zebra node to run continuously and be fully synced almost all the time, in order to capture recent transactions, and thus aid speedy execution of transactions. Do watch the ZOERDPAY test video via link below.
