You have great work. A work that has become part of the hopes of a wide community. The reason for the negativity is simply because people tend to blame someone or something if their hopes are not met. Every one of us who produces something in Zcash faces this, believe me. Just visualize yourself as this guy, that’s what I do to hold a some punches.

Although I’ve been commonly critical of this media project in its details, I also have to acknowledge the great quality/ commitment/ and professionalism that show up in the end products. Good luck to the rest of the release cycle.

With the first video we are significantly expanding our audience by capturing people outside of the cryptocurrency sphere. I don’t know if we will get a positive effect for Zcash, but so far, since the publication of the Russian-language version, I have been receiving a lot of comments on the Web 3 topic. The comments are contradictory, mostly people express doubts. Some directly write that “the problem is out of your fingers, you are just trying to push your cryptocurrency”. However, those who like it put likes. The current ratio of likes/dislikes on my channel is 91%. All in all, this is a pretty bold move for Zcash that will shake us up either way. And I’m very curious to see where we’ll come after the entire season of Zcash Media is released.

Here’s my one big problem with this (and the first video)
“CALL TO ACTION All videos will include links in the description to explanations of how to get involved with Zcash. Zcash Media will work with ECC, ZF, ZecHub, and the community to direct new users to a consistent location.”
That quote is taken directly from the ZCG Grant Application. There is no direction or call to action to get involved. The description links to Gemini to buy/sell/trade Zcash. Zcash itself got about 30 seconds of mention in that video, about the same as Signal and Brave.

Hello all,
Here’s an overdue update (sorry for the delay). We’ve put out two of our long-form videos and different styles of short-form videos on our different channels. Attached are the metrics as of the end of July for our most active channels.
We will continue to put out all our remaining long-form (schedule here: zcashmedia.info) and short-form videos in the coming months, as well as seek out opportunities for partnerships to boost awareness and make new content as possible.
We decided we would like to cancel Milestone 2 and release ZCG/ZF from any obligation to provide further funding for this grant. We believe this is beneficial as it allows ZCG to allocate the remaining earmarked funding to any initiatives they would like, and it allows us the freedom to experiment with ways to grow without obligation to preset deliverables. If all parties are interested, we can revisit the question of funding at some point in the future.

By an unfortunate coincidence, the release of the second video coincided with the complete blocking of Signal in Russia. In addition, in Russia in August a government campaign against YouTube began. Since the video is heavily biased towards domestic affairs in the US and due to bad associations (I don’t want viewers to think that Zcash can be blocked at any moment like Signal) I decided not to post this video in Russian.
