Hello, here are the latest project updates from ZecHub;

Project Updates

Eventful month! ZecHub DAO members ranked their top selections for the ZecHub Hackathon. Winners were announced. Congratulations to Tron for 1st place on his project ZEC Bounties, a bounty program management platform with integrated ZEC payments! DAO proposal A115 passed to continue its development for eventual use by ZecHub and add him as our newest DAO member! All projects are available to view, modify or reuse here.

This year for the Zcash 9th Genesis Anniversary we brought back Poker Night. It was successful with many new people joining the Discord. We had a parallel game of Gartic happening - thanks to Dismad & Kenzo for DJ’ing the voice chat. Afterwards we held a 9th Anniversary X space with Jason McGee, Alex, Josh and Zooko with the theme: Zcash War Stories: Celebrating Resilience. Thanks to everyone who joined and shared!

In early October I attended Dark Prague to assist the Zashi team with onboardings and ZKAV Club with interviews.
I joined the Digital Gold Talk podcast and later participated in Crypto Quorum Ep. 28 hosted by Dash. I reviewed publications sent out via substack. Created clips for the Near Intents ZKAV Collab interview, kept ZecHub’s Treasury Dashboard updated, handled ZecHub Store Orders and managed the Bounty Program - Tasks listed every Monday, reviewed during the week and put through for payment processing on Sunday. The Ecosystem Digest was edited, posters created and posted on Sunday’s. I am working with Maine toward an animated video on red-bridge and Michael19 on a Crosslink video explainer.

Vito has posted articles on Substack, Free2Z, X, Bluesky, and Mastodon. He edited and posted Arborist Call Clips on X with subtitles. He has been maintaining the Zcash Global Discord Server and restreamed events such as Arborist Call. Vito created a new publication sent out via Substack summarising meeting notes from the ZecHub Sync Meetings. He edited and posted the Zcash 9th Anniversary call to the Youtube channel. The Shapeshift collaboration work is in-progress.He has started work towards editing and publishing the rest of recordings taken at Z|ECC summit. Vito will be attending Cypherpunk Congress in Buenos Aires next month.

Kroy created a new logo for use on namada.zechub.wiki. This will be used in our application to be featured on the Namada Apps page. He also created Posters for the Zcash 9th Anniversary and the graphic used for the Z|ECC interview with Josh Swihart.

Bug Reports Submitted:

Core team had a meeting to extensively test Zkool. Overall we had positive results towards our eventual use of FROST.

We had a meeting with Elise toward setting up My First Zcash v2. This version will improve uniformity of writing style and graphics used throughout the workbook. A team is being assembled before we set out a plan and timeline. We have purchased two domains for MFZ v2.

Following feedback from DAO members requesting a method for privacy-preserving voting we attained access to SIV for testing. We also have an upcoming demo with the Enclave CRISP team. Thanks to Jason McGee for putting us in touch!
