### How did you learn about the Lockbox: Coinholder Retroactive Grants Program?
Community Member
### Requested Grant Amount (USD)
$26750
### Category
Retroactive Event Funding
### Project Summary
Shielded coinholder voting will become a critical part of the Zcash community infrastructure and I believe a public goods bounty could help participation whilst futher decentralizing the process. The new retroactive grant is perfect for this because the work was already completed.
### Project Description
Voting Authorities need to admin a server that runs hahn's vote server software as well as cometbft. Please see here for details and a video:
https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/coinholder-polling-on-governance-and-funding/50812/8
### Technical Approach (how you did it)
Using signal all individuals were on call running their instance of hahns zcash vote server + bft nodes fixing errors and hiccups along the way. Dismad additionally purchased a domain and hosted all elections publicly. All members helped answer questions in the community.
### Time Period of Work Completion
See Proof of completion section for dates
### Total Budget (USD)
26750.00
### Budget Breakdown
## Wages
Factoring specialized skills needed + Community members stepping up for the betterment of the Zcash community + 1st mover advantage
$250 / day
Thus,
```markdown
@dismad @ 32 days = $8000
@hanh @ 14 days = $3500
@james_katz @ 25 days = $6250
@outgoing.doze @ 14 days = $3500
@frankbraun @ 11 days = $2750
@artkor @ 11 days = $2750
-----------------------------------
$26750
```

Against, because it took me at most 2h to get a server anonymously on Njalla and configure it. What I did was definitely not worth USD$3500.
Against, because it just made me happy to have an opportunity to play a small part in the governance process. I expect we have many people that would do the same here given clear instructions (itβs not rocket science). Instead of having discussions on how to do all this on Signal, a good guide and a public chat would have much better served that purpose. I would gladly do it again personally, but we need to establish a voting schedule because life keeps me busy in other ways as well.
Against, because I definitely do not think we should pay wage level compensations for such a simple operation. A small stipend to compensate for the server rental fee should suffice.
