Project Updates
Subscribe to ZecHub Shielded Newsletter! We opened for sign ups yesterday. Ecosystem News + Network Stats received straight to your wallet. We intend to release an app and guide that will let anyone create their own newsletters (with paid subscriptions!).
We started the year presenting our Roadmap in a community call presenting deliverables and milestones. Watch the replay if you missed it!
We posted our first RFP for a community member to build a testnet faucet and provide documentation! Thanks to James Katz this work had already been completed. We will be posting the next (less technical) RFP within the next 2 weeks.
We have applied for funding via Penumbra IAN Microgrants. This is effort toward our long term goal of becoming an education hub for the shielded ecosystem, offering bounties in a combination of shielded assets, building understanding & interactions between aligned projects and communities.
We’ve also been coordinating with Zcash Brazil, Zcash Espanol, Zcash Nigeria and Zcash Turkey for ZconVI event this March.
Vito has been working on improving the quality of all content being posted. This includes creating thumbnails for our youtube videos, post production on shorts/tutorials in addition to writing the shielded news & recent zero to zero knowledge article + posting announcements to the Zcash server.
We are also scheduling community events with Piratechain and Nym communities.
ZecHub Store redesign is in-progress!
We have started our own mastodon server, purchased with shielded ZEC! Its more decentralized, we own the server, no adds, and it is our hope this can become our safe space in the unlikely event other networks are inaccessible. You can interact with the entire mastodon eco and represent zechub.
This is opt-in, so please let us know if you want to join and Dismad will send you an invite link.
We have also worked on adding more data to our dashboard. By request he have added lockbox, difficulty, and networkSOLps data. We are currently working on adding support for the front end graphing. It is worth noting
All of this data is collected via full nodes and distributed for everyone.

Our IAN Microgrants proposal was approved! We plan to host a Penumbra bounty program alongside our Zcash one.

We have set up an Ecosystem-wide Calendar for all Zcash projects. It can add events to your Google Calendar. At present anyone can add to it, feel free to contribute.

An RFP was posted to update the ZECPages UI and host the service for the community.

The Shielded Newsletter is progressing well. It sends condensed Zcash updates to your wallet once per week. We currently have 13 subscribers to the Ecosystem News and 3 subscribers to Network Stats.

Vito has made thumbnails for all of our videos, wrote two editions of Zero to Zero knowledge while also reposting to our secondary social channels and is scheduling a Community Event with SimpleX messenger. We had a productive meeting with their team to select some important topics to bring up.

We coordinated with the NEAR team and released a demo video for the launch of Near Intents which was very well received by both communities.

Dismad has been creating tutorials, [testing Coinholder Voting (https://x.com/dismad8/status/1892436733310243321) with hanh and researching the next additions to ZecHub Dashboard.

Squirrel has been working with contributors preparing DAO proposals, managing the bounty program and coordinating with the Penumbra team.

@theKroy has joined as ZecHub Graphic Design lead, his role includes producing the ZecHub DYK series, producing high quality artwork for the peoject and where possible, improving designs submitted by Bounty Program contributors.

We made an educational video animation for the Zcash-Avalanche Redbridge, next steps will be to add narration and final edits before we share it.

A dashboard was created for DAO members to track ZecHub Treasury for better decision making on proposals.

ZecHub Store redesign was completed and we have sent out shirts to speakers at ZconVI

Project Updates
- We had Milian on the ZecHub podcast to discuss the Arcium project and Privacy 2.0.
- A Zcash x Iron Fish Twitter Spaces was held with their founder Elena Nadolinski.
- Penumbra IAN Microgrants funding has been received. We created a survey to gather user feedback on Veil DEX and have completed set up a portal between the Penumbra server and Zcash Global Discord.
- A Treasury Dashboard was created for ZecHub DAO.
- Kroy made posters for the #ZecHubDYKseries.
- Dismad created a number of shorts and tutorials for the channel and has been working with Hanh in testing Coin Voting.
- Vito did post production on all of our video content, curated four editions of Zcash Shielded News and has been coordinating with Nym and Piratechain towards future events.
- We presented ZecHub: An education hub for the Shielded Ecosystem in ZconVI alongside @theKroy and @speedfox thank you to all the Zcash Foundation organisers!
- The Zebra Store was set up to ship merch to LatAm Zcashers.
- We are currently exploring the possibility of a grant proposal to the Iron Fish Foundation.
