Hi Zcash, here is the ZecHub report for June:

Major Achievements

Project Updates

This month has been eventful. Following our Research section revamp we reached out to Ankita Singh regarding possible research topics. The Zcash Foundations Series contains 7 educational articles ranging from the mathematical foundations of modern cryptography all the way to how Zcash shielded transactions work!

Look out for them over the next few weeks as X Articles!

The ZecHub Media Kit containing logos, fonts, several new isometric icons etc. was created to accompany the Visual Identity Guide created by Kroy.

Day-to-day management of the @Zcash account continues. The first original content posters performed well, we are now moving to create bounties entirely dedicated to original content for the account.

A new X account @ZECIllustrated has been created. The aim is to create minimalist graphic designs that can help new users grasp complex Zcash topics.

Vito implemented several updates to the Discord server, including improvements to the onboarding section to make the experience easier for new members.

Zcash India and East Africa Telegram communities were bridged to Discord and carried out multiple rebranding updates across older channels, including the removal of outdated roles and permissions.

The announcements channel was fully updated in line with the latest ecosystem news. Arborist Calls continued to be restreamed to Discord with written summaries published via Substack.

Core team members were invited to host & record presentations as part of workshops led by Elzz and Dre. The were edited and published to YouTube with timestamps of all topics.

We provided support to the Zcash Onboarding Events held by Global Ambassadors and support to community members, assisting with bounty tasks, with Testnet ZEC and technical queries.

We also performed a round of internal ZecHub Treasury management and have had an initial meeting with someone at Uniswap Labs to discuss scheduling a community event.

Dismad’s updates:

Hi community, please review our July project report below:

Major Achievements

Project Updates

July was a high-output month centered on supporting ZecHub (wiki and content repositories). Work focused on improving our bounty platform, adding new features such as continuous supply and metrics dashboards, documentation polish, and new educational content.

4 articles introducing a more engaging and reader-friendly structure have been written by Vito including ‘Why Your VPN Isn’t Enough: The Future of Digital Privacy Runs Through Mixnets’, ‘VPNs, mixnets, and layered privacy’, ‘Ironwood network upgrade and its impact on the Zcash ecosystem’ and one summarising the Hackathon submissions. Upcoming work includes Preparing community call and event coverage for August & developing educational tutorials for Zakura and Noir Wallet.

Squirrel updated the Treasury Dashboard and hosted a community call going over the Q2 Treasury Report also working together with contributors toward refining submissions, processing weekly payments and Ecosystem Digests, updating the Hackathon page with submitted projects, managing store orders and arranging our Hackathon vote. Updates were made to the Zcash Wallets page detailing which are Ironwood ready & Obscura Labs added to Organisations section.

July @ Zcash KPI Report

As part of management of @ Zcash we would like to share our monthly performance both for transparency as well as an opportunity for feedback from the community. If you want us to track any particular metric please let us know.

Appendix zero:

Impressions count how many times a post was displayed on screens.
Engagements count how many times users interacted with it.

Impressions

  • Every time the post appears in a timeline, search results, profile, notifications, or other X surface.
  • Non-unique: the same person seeing it multiple times counts as multiple impressions.
  • Purely passive — no click, like, pause, or attention required. Scrolling past it still registers.
  • This is the primary distribution/visibility metric (and what X uses for things like the creator revenue threshold of organic impressions).

Engagements

  • Total interactions with the post. Each action counts separately.
  • Includes:
    • Likes
    • Replies
    • Reposts / quotes
    • Follows generated from the post
    • Link clicks
    • Media clicks
    • Profile / username / avatar clicks
    • Hashtag clicks
    • Detail expands (clicking the post itself to open the full view)
    • Other clicks anywhere on the post

One user can generate multiple engagements (e.g., like + reply + link click = 3).

Key relationship

Engagement rate = Engagements ÷ Impressions (usually shown as a percentage).

High impressions + low engagement means the post was widely distributed but mostly ignored.
High engagement rate (even on lower impressions) is a stronger signal of content quality and is what the algorithm tends to reward for further distribution.

In short:

impressions measure exposure, engagements measure response.
