@dismad Hi dismad — I have three ZEC Bounties deliverables waiting on review and
wasn’t able to find the #zecwiki channel on Discord, so apologies for
coming at it this way.
Board handle is benjoshyo-create same as GitHub.
ZecHub/zechub#2141 — FROST & Viewing Keys research brief (0.07 ZEC),
open, no review
Zodl Android ZAP1 memo cards (0.07 ZEC) — PR already merged upstream
(zodl-inc/zodl-android#2526) but the bounty still shows In Review
Happy to change anything on any of them.
Two quick questions if you have a moment. Has the #zecwiki channel moved
or been renamed? CONTRIBUTING.md still points there. And is the Apply
flow on the bounty board working?
Over the past few weeks we’ve pushed a number of new features to the wiki site, bounties platform and participated in community events. The highlight for this month is more research from @annkkitaaa! She has written a new series of 3 articles on Formal Verification. Check it out here.
We now feature ZecMap on the frontpage of ZecHub Wiki, we have added links for each listed feature on the wallets page, the community projects page is up to date, you can now share the url for any given visualizer module of which all are now consistent in design and layout. Among several other new additions we have embedded a testnet faucet and a block time calculator on the zechub wiki Tools page.
During the month squirrel and Dismad participated in the Zcash Ghana developer residency programme spanning several weeks of sessions. Presentations were made alongside @Dre_Nesthub for the Developers Sprint x Nodo Serrano, the Proof of Privacy campaign by @elzz-ux & the Colosseum Hackathon Zcash Workshop yesterday.
A notable challenge we encountered this month was an overwhelming number of bounty task suggestions being added to the platform. To solve this we now limit new users to one task suggestion per week. Contributors with 15 tasks completed successfully are able to create more, we’ll be adding node runners and community event hosts to the advanced tier.
The teams feature for Zecbounties is now complete! ZecBounties now features Zcash Turkey, Zcash Espanol, Ben from Raydium among the first to try it out. A team for @Zcash content creation is now up and will soon be opening for community suggestions. If you would like to specify content to go out via @Zcash on X you can create a suggestion for a community member to create!
As a team we’ve jointly kept the cadence of posts via the @Zcash account, Kroy created posters for the cbZEC announcement, Retroactive Grants Coinholders Poll and X space Posters for (ZecHub x Unstoppable, ZecHub x Mad Scientists,vZcash x Seer & 5 DAO Proposal Banners.
Squirrel handled management of the Bounty Program, including task adjustment/review, processing payments, resolving contributor queries, editing newsletters and publications. Our Treasury dashboard was kept up to date, sync meetings hosted and posts sent out via X.
Vito worked to automate ZecHub DAO Proposal Notifications which is in final testing! He curated all editions of Zcash Shielded News, posted Zcash Arborist Call summaries via substack in addition to ZecHub Updates and community announcements. Vito has also been handling the Zechub Bluesky Community & Mastodon Communities.
We have been testing a Zec Bounties Support Bot, Server & Automation — Still In Development.
During the month Dismad continued running his crosslink validator carrying out tests and working with the Crosslink Feature Net group. He also performed maintenance of the Zechub namada validator - coordinated multiple upgrades, chain is now bug free.
As part of management of @ Zcash we would like to share our monthly performance both for transparency as well as an opportunity for feedback from the community. If you want us to track any particular metric please let us know.
Could you please just tell me what I need to click in order to take part in this task?
I can’t pick up any ZecHub tasks to work on, and that’s really frustrating.
