Zeropond Cloud Mining

Something smells fishy

Let’s just wait till the next cloud mining ā€œstart upā€ pops out of no where… in 3, 2, 1…

Just missed the crowdfunding when sleeping, hope there is a 2nd round.

Apparently doing a hardware rental is more problematic than selling you the hardware with pre-installed mining software that we operate for you. Reworking the contracts to literally sell ownership of whole GPUs is one way we might be able to sell to US citizens, but the low-end price point will jump. This will also take time to work out with the legal team.

Do you have the option of licensing the GPU miner to other entities?

Im somewhat ignorant of mining, so I have some questions about this please?

Is Zcash mining most similar to Ethereum? I think I read that somewhere? So if large mining pools come over, they are likely to be from ethereum, would that be accurate?

Zeropond is simply selling us Hashes, right?
So 25 h/s for the 250CPU model for example. But they dont use CPUs, they use GPus, but this is just a reference point?
If I want to see what that hash power would generate on another blockchain, what scale is it in?
How many MH/s is that if I wanted to enter it into this calculator? (just to get a refernece idea of how profitable this mining would be on another blockchain) Ethereum Mining Profitability Calculator

Thanks.

Yes, CPU’s are just a reference point. We run a GPU farm and sell hashes.

So what does 25 h/s represent in MH/s?

@tim_olson Have you thought about putting a maximum on future orders to prevent a few people from buying up everything and increase distribution?

Looks like people have sent BTC today also…

Sales are closed, and if you continue to fund your deposit address, we will be forced to bounce it back to the originating address. Please, we need to guarantee delivery of our initial commitment before selling any more.

People can always get around maximums by using multiple accounts, so I’m not sure how effective that would be. We are going to build out the initial capacity as fast as possible and hopefully be able to offer more soon.

Could you clarify what 25 h/s means in MH/s for me please so I know what scale its on? Sorry if this is a basic question

tim_olsen could you please elaborate a little bit more why you had to deny US customers ? I mean, isn’t Genesis Mining partly located in the US ?

It’s actually hashes per second and not Million hashes per second

Nice  we ar still waiting for the miner

@randomjojo Equihash is an entirely new POW, you cannot use hash scales from any other algo for comparison.

You can find more about Equihash here: Why Equihash? - Electric Coin Company

Hmm ok. Im still a bit confused though. According to this calculator, https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth

If I applied 25 h/s to Ethereum, my yearly profit would be…$0.0006
Maybe its a new algorithm and I cant use hash scales from other coins, but that cant be right can it?

ETH uses a completely different algorithm, they aren’t even in the same ballpark.

The hashrate on Zcash is completely unrelated to the hashrate of other coins. No direct comparison is possible.
