No, we don’t have failover, and we sell up to 90% of our capacity. We need to have a buffer of about 10% due to hardware variation and a few percent of downtime. If something cataclysmic happens and we’re down for an extended period, we’ll probably extend the contracts.
Genesis Mining just TRIPLED the hashpower for everyone… so prices were cut to 1/3 of the original pricing…
Are you going to reduce your pricing or increase hashpower?

Yeh, but now they are not competitive with Genesis Mining. If we assume that everyone will eventually be able to get up to ~30H/s out of a GPU like Toomim then I can see prices still have a long way to go as you are still essentially paying GM $2600 to rent a single GPU for a year. Obviously even factoring out hardware and running costs the margins on that would be massive and essentially this business will be quickly commoditized (will happen even faster if a public GPU is released).
@RicLop Can you explain how their pricing changed? It still looks pretty similar to how it was before. They were slightly cheaper than us before, albeit with no proof of a functional miner. They aren’t currently 3x cheaper at the prices listed on the site.
Anyways, we do have some updates in the works

Genesis Mining has currently triple their hashrate for users so that price drops down to around
0.8836BTC vs your 3.629BTC
If my calculations aren’t wrong ofcourse
And you can now throw Nicehash into the mix as well: x.com
They are the cheapest btw but I don’t want to state prices 
Ah but we also planned another hash rate boost, just ironing out details. Don’t worry we are quite competitive on pricing.

How long will it take to get one Zec at 3hs?
We’re happy to announce more improvements for Zeropond customers.
Everyone gets 2x hashpower and 2x contract length starting December 1st.
Our Genesis contracts are really full, so we can’t boost hashpower before December. So instead what we are doing is giving all Genesis Contract customers -free mining- starting in Genesis and running until the end of November, and giving all customers the speed boost in December.
These changes aren’t reflected on the website yet, but when it is your Genesis hashpower will represent your November speeds (free) and December will include your full speed for the following year.
Here are some examples to clarify the boost:
[6 month 10 h/s Genesis Contract, 0 h/s December contract] → [10 h/s November, 1 Year 20 h/s December contract ]

Zeropond’s response to competition has been interesting to see but does the so-called competition even have a product? And is there a shortage of willing customers?
Good point, but product or not they’ve inspired us to work harder and improve .

This is awesome news, great work - that’s an effective 16x improvement on the Genesis pricing if I’m not mistaken! I guess you’ve probably reached the max length of time you can feasibly extend these contracts so if you manage to eek out any further improvements I imagine they will be passed on as a direct increase in hashpower?
