Based on the information I found there is a maximum transaction size of 100,000 bytes, which is equivalent to around 662 P2KH UTXO’s. Based on the insane number of mining outputs I had, I think I might have actually crossed that threshold. It is also very well possible this led to the full node it was connecting to rejecting it or throwing an error. In any case, this is really an edge case, not something a regular user will ever encounter.

Hello, can I suggest putting a link to Zkool on the Ywallet.app website if this is it’s successor? Literally I only found out about Zkool from browsing this forum. I haven’t seen it signposted anywhere else, even when I was searching for wallets to use.
My other ideal suggestions for Zkool itself would be to have password protection when creating a new account and letting the user choose, at the same time, where to save the wallet data file. I think both of these are quite important to me from a privacy and security perspective.

You can have multiple wallet files with their own optional passwords (encrypted on disk). Each of these files can contain multiple accounts too.

When I try to send 0.001 ZEC from Zkool, it shows “Output 2” 15.190? What does it mean? Am I sending 15.190 ZEC to another address not mine?

It’s your change. It goes back to your wallet. The address should match your orchard address.

I just got Zkool, and I am glad that I can receive transparetn zCash. I wonder, once received, can I convert or move this coin to a shiled ZEC? How?

zkool: v6.16.3 I can’t send to Tex addresses. My addresses are inactive, I can’t click them; they’re not green.

Yeah, it’s because a tex address forces you to use transparent inputs (unlike zodl, we are not doing a deshielding transaction for you). But, showing this disabled input selector is confusing. It will be removed for tex addresses in a later release.

On windows, a pin (not a password) can be used instead of a fingerprint scanner.

I’m using a laptop with Windows 10 - there’s an error.I transferred the wallet to my desktop computer win 11, from scratch
but I still can’t access the settings. It doesn’t prompt me to enter any PIN codes; it’s just an error.

Not all Windows versions support PINs, and some privacy or debloating tools can disable them. It would be nice to make using a PIN optional. I wanted to try zkool but couldn’t because of this requirement. Locking those settings feels unnecessary since they don’t store sensitive data, especially given that it’s still possible to access the seed phrase and send transactions without a PIN.
You can’t access the seed phrase without the security check either. Settings have some sensitive parts, but we could make it more selective.
