FAQ
1. What happened? Why is my Zcash stuck in my wallet?
Zcash went through a network upgrade on November 23rd, aka Zcash NU6. This changed several things including the consensus branch ID.
Some wallets were prepared for this update, some were not. The Zcash developers notified the wallet teams over a month in advance.
We know this can be confusing or frustrating, please don’t worry your funds are SAFU.
The latest status chart provided by @pacu is below for reference, as you can see (at the time of this posting) there is one wallet remaining to update their software: Ledger

2. Does this mean I lost my Zcash!?
No, your Zcash is still safely tucked in your wallet it’s just that you will need to wait for the wallet developer to send out a patch before it will talk to the Zcash network again.
3. But I need that Zcash now! How can I get it?
To recover your Zcash from a wallet that isn’t working you have a few options like using the seed phrase or private keys in another of the wallets that are known to be working, listed above.
4. Recovery sounds too technical, where can I get help?
There are threads on the forum dedicated to discussing these issues. Feel free to ask questions and our community will try to assist.
Also contact the wallet maintainer via official channels and request them to push a fix, the more people requests the faster they will be.
Friendly reminder: There are scammers lurking too!
Do not share your seed phrase with anyone! Do not respond to DMs from users you don’t know. The is no official support channel, there is no ticket system, Admin/Support with never DM you
@hanh has made this helpful video about how to recover your Zcash using Ywallet
Ledger:
Note to Ledger users:
Putting your seed in the wallets mentioned above will recover the first address of the Ledger[1].
Warning
It is not enough for recovering your funds since Ledger uses “unique”[2] receiving and change addresses.
To recover all your funds, you can use the sweep function, which scans a range of addresses until it reaches a given gap limit.
