During the start of this week, I’ve been working on a promotional/educational/relatable album relying heavily on AI. You may have seen it mentioned in other topics, but I figured it might reach a wider audience (and allow for sharing more background information) through a thread of its own. Zodl Everything, Captain “by” the Zeppilots can be downloaded on Odysee and the Internet Archive.
One common denominator of all tracks is that their prompt - around one or two sentences per track - contained the words “ska metal”, “Zcash” and (besides a brief subject description) often an electronic music genre. This provided a sufficiently broad genre spectrum to result in a diverse tracklist, with enough consistency to constitute an album where some tracks lean more towards ska and others more to metal. People who like variation might enjoy the entire production, while others may want to skip through it to find a track or two that they like.
The lyrics - included in the description on Odysee - cover subjects from Project Tachyon (Superluminal and Beta-Tachyon) and the Ironwood upgrade (Judgement of Ironwood), to price action (Zodl Everything), dealing with false rumours (Trolls For Breakfast) and the question of when to share viewing keys (Right Time).

Despite being AI-generated, all tracks involved some human editing and mastering. The artwork in this post went through enough modifications to pass AI image detector checks. Due to the ambiguous legal situation of AI-generated material, however - and use of copyrighted clips in the music video - it is likely that none of this is suited for commercialization, but should be fine within fair-use scenarios. Zeppilots - the name of the band - is a portmanteau of zeppelin (from @zerodartz’s Zepe) and pilots. While the album name - Zodl Everything, Captain - was chosen because it initializes to ZEC.
The spaceship design on the album cover was heavily inspired by Space Pirate Captain Harlock’s Arcadia. The Right Time music video uses footage from the 2013 3D animated film, as well as clips from Zebraman 1 and 2.
It will be the soundtrack of my working day!
