I made a new rig with 3 Gigabyte 1070 OC and thay used to make around 470 sols per card untill I added my new Asus 1080ti to the rig.
1080 ti makes 770 sols, but my other cards slowed down and now make 440 sols per card.
Does anyone knows why is this happening and how can I increase my 1070s sols?
Explanations could be many, here are some possibilities:
- Adding your 1080ti temperatures of other cards rised of some C° (even 1 or 2C° could explain a 30 sol loss).
- Power draw: maybe with the 1080ti plugged in, your 1070ās recieve a little W less
- Driver update? Software update? Miner update? Updates?
- Other cards work on 69 69 and 63 degreese, and 1080ti on 70.
- My power supply is Corsair HX1200i so the power schoul not be a problem I think.
- I have the latest Nvidia drivers for 1070 and 1080ti.
What do you mean by software update? I use the latest 0.3.4b Cuda miner and Nanopool
Did you mark down the temperatures before putting the 1080?
1200 is enough and you have a good PSU.
Settings donāt seem the problem.
How are the risers powered?
Carlos tambiƩn soy de Venezuela y ya estoy armando un rig con 7 zotac 1070 mini, como cuanto pudiera dar cada gpu??
Thanks for all the info people.
Still fairly new to the mining game and still learning.
Im also planning to make a new rig with electricity not an issue in cost (get it free).
Either 3x 1080ti@720sol/s or 5x 1070ās@470sol/s. Planning to spend around $3000us or just under $3800au
If running 24/7 what will the earnings be at the moment?
Trying to work out how long it will take to see a positive amount.
Thanks for any help.
You can use one of the multitude of calculators online. Keep in mind theyāre always based on today. Tomorrow your profit could be half of what it is today or it could be double. For $3000 US youāre probably looking at around 9 months ROI. Thatās assuming it all stays the same. Which it wonāt.
I wonder how did You manage to actually boot this motherboard with all of 7 gpus detected and working? There is a very lengthy forum thread over at overclockers forum, spanning at least 2 years, with many people trying to make this mobo work with more than 4 gpus and consensus is that youāll need a custom bios to do that? Could you please share how did you manage to make this work?
@jigoku
Latest BIOS update plus enabling āAbove 4G decodingā within the bios solved the issue for me and all 7 cards worked fine.
For me i couldnāt install the cards one by one because all 7 are connected together by the water-block terminal so i installed all 7 in one go.
I didnt read through all the comments, but since not a lot is being said about 1080 (non ti)ā¦
Im aware its not the best choice, but:
1080 sub 110% power usage = 490 h/s for Zec
1080 above 111% and above usage = 530-560 h/s for Zec
In order to get the most out of the 1080 (non ti), you have to adjust for power to go up AFTER you start mining, doing it beforehand will give you no improvement.
For instance, if you are overclocked to 2000/4600 before you start mining, you will still get 490 h/s, but if you adjust your clocks even slightly after you start the mining process, it will finally bump the power usage and you will get upwards of 550.
Hope this helps even a little. Cheers.
Hi Carlos, What brand of 1080ti were you using? Im planning to get another rig, are you still minning with yours?
Hi, Carlos!
Iām pretty much decided to start my first mining Rig. Iām beyond noobie, and Iām not sure what to do or expect.
Soy de Honduras, y mucho gusto. Espero me puedas ayudar, y si tienes alguna otra forma de contact te lo agradecere.
