ZF will host a community call with the three community nominees for the ZF board (@earthrise, @Boggerster and @Lowo88). During the call, the candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, and answer questions submitted and upvoted by the community.

Please post the questions you would like answered in this thread. If you have multiple questions, please submit them as separate posts, so that they can be like/upvoted separately.

The questions with the most likes will be prioritized for the community call.

What are the things you believe ZF has succeeded at and what are the aspects you consider improvement opportunities?

What is the most important thing that ZF is doing and should stop doing? What is the most important thing that ZF is not doing and should start doing?

Financial Sustainability:

As a board member you have a fiduciary role in the evaluation of the Zcash Foundation’s financial management.

The Zcash Foundation provided a direct award grant of 250 000 usd to the Financial Privacy Foundation in October 2023, and for twelve months no completed software development, educational awareness or grants were completed.

This is the only directly awarded grant, in full operational control by Zcash Foundation employees, an a former Zcash Foundation board member to be allowed such an under performing grant without it being stopped.

How will you as a potential board member evaluate and manage the Executive Director’s financial management methods of such grants, an eliminate any Zcash Foundation employees clear conflict of interest?
