Crowdfund: GPU Miner

Do you know if the zeropool guys were the ones to buy the GPU miner mentioned above? Or did they develop their own? Cheers! Tom

@5a1t @tim_olson You might want to ask them directly

The Zeropond guys developed their miner in-house, it is not the miner related to this crowdfund.

@Shawn Thanks both. Yes, I knew they were around here, but since they weren’t on this thread, I thought I’d ask generally. Cheers. Tom

The whole story is working around GPU’s then why they need developers?

Secondly, what is the requirement of a developer? What is the role of developers?

Any updates on this? I still have my BTC pledge waiting. I think we could really use a gpu miner, hate to see all the cpu miners get blown away. Like many others, there are a lot of us that already have GPUs laying around.

Whether GPU or CPU based, without each individual having multiple miners or the availability of a pool, what reasonable expectation do small miners have of getting a return?

With the amount of interest I see surrounding the upcoming launch, I cannot see a where a solo miner with just one or a few machines would have much of a chance. The only hope I can see in such cases is, as you mentioned, having one or more pools up and running at launch.

I just forwarded this thread to my confidant who might be interested in acting as escrow

Mind me asking if there are specific requirements for acting as escrow?

Other than trust there just needs to be a secure blockchain to store the crowdfund. I have reached out to the CEO of CCEDK. The Bitshares blockchain is a very diverse and secure platform. Shapeshift opperates from here. Openledger acts more like a sidechain, but anyway, go look at openledger.info and create your own decentralized wallets. Maybe Ronnie Boesing, CEO of CCEDK adds OPEN.ZEC to the chain

I will create you an account called zero-cash-escrow. If you read into it a bit here https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/help you will find out that you do not need to go about all the trouble to design your own wallet. This is your most diverse platform as of yet, to me in anyway. check for the account to pop up it should be under:
https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/account/zero-cash-escrow/overview
give me few

use it don’t use it…your choice.
From here you can join as Lifetime mamber and that would give you the full set of features like setting up multisig accounts for escrow purpose

17,611.6174 8TS = 50.00 USD

Many different coins can be deposited. This is the backbone of Shapeshift

Hmmm any update on this? Was really hoping to get a gpu miner out there before the private farms take all the ZEC.

If you are a serious and accomplished developer that can “prove” that you will follow through on development and interested in developing a GPU miner, you can direct message me.

I am interested in hiring you to develop the miner and release it to the public for individual mining, while charging a fee for data center usage (to cover development cost). We can discuss payment privately.

@Austin-Williams already mentioned he and one of his contacts can work on a GPU miner once money are in escrow. I am happy to put my 1 BTC in if you set one up.
