Evga gtx1080, i7-6700k Mining @80 Sols

Okay, just bought 3x RX-480P8DBA6, but it don’'t fit in my NZXT case.
So I decide to keep my GTX1080 for gaming and go all the way with mining:joy:…

I want to build a rig with 5 GPU’s, so I need 2 more GPU’'s.
Motherboard, CPU and power etc.

I hope to get some wise advice from you guys.

Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!

Guide for building a solid open air case for mining

where do you shop?

well you could have linked my video
watching BBT live videos puts me to sleep

but it really depends where your shopping

personally id recommend
EVGA 1300G2 (now if your going 7 GPU i might recommend corsair ax1200i, ax1500i or EVGA 1600G2 for the 8pin ports as 1200P2 and 1300G2 just have 6 VGA ports while those have more (corsairs having 8 8pin ports that can be used for CPU OR VGA, and 1600G2 having 8 VGA 8 pin connections)
asrock b85 anniversary or pro btc, or z97 gaming 5 as I used in that video
any processor seems fine with recent miners, i use G1840, G3258 and 4790k
risers from www.cryptomined.com  (they are ver.006)
you can get openair frames from me too, but the rig case I can get looks wayyy more awesome and should keep out more dust… though I just use a metal rack shelf

I live in The Netherlands…
The only good shops are: http://www.informatique.nl/ and https://www.alternate.nl

(they dont have 1200P2 in either of those stores)

or

ask trollo why he thinks g3260 or 3258 is better than 1840, does 1840 cause a bottleneck? seems to work on my 6 GPU rig now, was not the case when zcash launched but ~seems ok now with claymore v7 or any linux miners. maybe he has some input

though you dont really need a 3258 unless you get a board you can overclock it with… so if you choose the msi gaming 5 it might be worth it if you wanted to OC it for future use.

I just mentioned those off the top of my head. Any CPU will do (1150 socket)

cool, yeah any seem to work fine now

Thanks a lot, I think I will go for a simple I3 or I5 the price difference is minimal.

what argument do you pass for “-a algo”? I don’t see equihash or zhash anywhere in the list of supported algorithms. I’ve built from source and downloaded the tarball.

@dacox The miner is a windows release only. No source code.

Edit
In linux, run this that I’m running now.

ah, excellent, thanks! I’m not used to so many projects releasing binaries on Github that don’t match the source

Thanks, nice job! +40% with your version of SA5, with GTX 750 Ti :yum:

@Rastamany Thats not my code. I have no clue how to program. Its just the miner I was using.
