Which option is better set the Fan Auto or Manual??

I have 5x gtx 1080ti FE manual fan 80% 24/7.
First time turn on mining zcash fan auto 10min app turn off card because too hot.
Auto provides more adjustability. Afterburner allows you to create a fan curve (fan speed vs temperature), I’ve been using this for months now. Manual is easier as you don’t have to create this curve.
