I’m Groggs and I am putting myself forward as a candidate for the upcoming Zcash Community Grants election.
I am an ACCA-qualified accountant with professional experience across audit, financial reporting, financial controls, fund administration, and project management. I am Big 4 trained and have worked across financial services in Ireland and Luxembourg, including real estate, securitisation, asset management, and corporate services. My work has involved external audit, financial statement preparation, audit coordination, KYC/AML procedures, process improvement, and managing stakeholder relationships.
I have been active in crypto for several years and have been a NEAR OG since early 2022, with a strong interest in digital assets, DeFi, and AI agent frameworks. With the continued and rapid advancement of frontier AI models, I believe my current experience would be valuable to ZCG as the committee thinks about better ways to utilise AI responsibly to analyse proposals, improve workflows, and support the wider ecosystem.
My professional and crypto experience would be directly relevant to ZCG. The committee is responsible for allocating community funds, and my professional background has trained me to assess budget deliverables, evaluate financial and operational risk, monitor milestone progress, and look for clear evidence of delivery before community funds are released.
If elected, I would bring practical financial expertise to the grant decision-making process aswell as looking at ways to utilise AI responsibly to optimise current committee workflows.
