correction… 5720 not 5760, see off the top of my head and tired as heck
1080ti should do 700+ sol/s stock
I run them at 230 watts with avg 720 sol
Putting 650 sol/s for the ti’s and 440 sol/s for the 1070 is soooo rigged!
A more fair comparison should be at stock settings:
1080Ti 700 sol/s x 6 = 4200
1070 420 sol/s x 13 = 5460
Watt Usage should be kept into account, with 13 1070 you do get more sol/s but at a higher power draw:
1080 Ti x 6 = 1.1 kW
1070 x 13 = 1.6 kW
So in the end, AT STOCK SETTINGS, you get x1.3 more sol/s but withdraw x1.45 more power draw. At stock settings you don’t get a better efficiency than the 1080 Ti’s. I didn’t even consider the 45Watt power draw for each riser, so having 13 cards instead of 6 gives you 270 Watt extra power draw than the 1080 Ti’s.
Also keep in mind: more cards with less power = more space occupied, less sol/s per system (witch could have not only have a higher cost due for more motherboards, cpu, etc but also OS price).
I know the 1070 do hit the best efficiency when you overclock them well, but in comparison with the 1080 Ti it’s veeeery little difference (like 0.1-0.2 kW/sol), so in the end, if you consider ever expanding your mining farm, picking the 1080 Ti’s over the 1070 could really make a big difference in more earnings (at least 5% more overall).
Not to forget: 1080 Ti should be more durable than the 1070, I’d expect the 1080 Tis working better than the 1070 after 5 years of non-stop mining .
mine is not a Ti, but the 1080 is making 4.20 Sol/W avg. and my 1070 makes 4.13 Sol/W avg.
I’m not sure how you are coming to the conclusion that powered risers draw 45 watts. I’m running a 6x 1060 rig that is drawing just 490 watts. All cards on risers. Out of the box the specs say they draw 110 watts, so by your assertion mine is a miracle rig.
Look, you totally bypassed the fact that 1080ti are power hogs which limit how many cards can be powered from a given PSU. I can run 12 cards on a single 1000w PSU (EVGA G2 1000) and Mobo. There is no “room to expand” issue.
I was comparing the 1070 to the 1080ti, but have now come to the conclusion that all in (cost per card, cost per watt, cost per sol/hash (whatever)) the 1060 6g OC are the most efficient for just about any algo.
IMHO
You made my point EXACTLY! TY
really!?, How? If that’s really the case then i would like to know where are you getting them
from? You can mail me on my email .My email is : daimond12@hotmail.com.
hi mistgold, what’s your online source to buy? I did try alibaba, there a hundreds of suppliers. However most of them are scam (the cheap ones), they always pressure you to make payment but don’t have actual stock (sending random cards haha).
I tried to understand your statement and failed miserably.
I posted on the wrong tab in the wrong thread sorry
