- How to open an account in Z cash?
- what next after opening an account?
Ok, so you don’t “open an account”, you download any given wallet that supports zcash. With a wallet you can create as many address that you wish. PUBLIC address is like your IBAN and PRIVATE address is the key that prooves you are the owner, you can restore all currency in any other wallet with this code (IMPORTANT: NEVER SHARE PRIVATE KEY).
Once you’ve donwloaded and installed your first wallet, grab your PUBLIC address and go seach yourself a pool to mine. There are many mining programs, i prefer EWBF for zcash on windows.
HERE IS A SIMPLE AND QUICK GUIDE TO START MINING IN NO TIME:
1)download jaax wallet → https://jaxx.io/
2)download ewbf with nanopool presettings: https://github.com/nanopool/ewbf-miner/releases (Zec.miner.0.3.4b.zip 433kb for windows)
- open in notepad file “start.bat”, here are the contents:
miner --server zec-eu1.nanopool.org --user t1emzuNbemjqnEhEue74NL3BxsR4cA1ajfP.YOUR_WORKER_NAME/YOUR_EMAIL --pass z --port 6666
Replace “t1emzuNbemjqnEhEue74NL3BxsR4cA1ajfP” with your wallet address.
Replace “YOUR_WORKER_NAME” with any given name you wish to call worker (banana,kebab,rig1)
Replace “YOUR_EMAIL” with your email, so you get notifications if worker is not mining.
- Go to https://zec.nanopool.org/ and search your public address, you’ll see your stats there.
Definitely a bad idea to use Jaxx for this. Just download the zcash4win wallet and use that.
After a while Jaxx won’t do you any good as it will be crashing and freezing constantly if you have your mining rewards send their wallet.
Good heads up mate! .
On that note, here’s a more in depth look at wallet options:
If you are using linux try Cyclenerd’s Nvidia OS (based on Ubuntu):
