output of zcash-cli --version:
Zcash RPC client version v1.0.15-93332d6e8-dirty

I want to move some ZEC from an exchange to a local wallet, before the pending network upgrade so, installed the client from the Arch linux repo, followed the 1.0 guide and got worried because of the appended “-dirty” in the version name.

So, safe to create a wallet and transfer to this version?

The current release in the Github repo is 1.1.0-rc1 (release candidate). Assuming everything is fine, there will be an official 1.1.0 release next week. That release will support the Overwinter network upgrade scheduled for the summer.
