Istanbul Blockchain Week Report (Turkiye)

Istanbul Blockchain Week Report

Hello everyone,

We have officially completed our participation in Istanbul Blockchain Week!

First of all, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported us in attending this important event.

Our core mission was simple yet ambitious: to reach more people, establish new connections, and spread awareness about Zcash. After two intense days, we truly believe we achieved our goals.

:pushpin: About the Event

The event saw a much higher attendance than expected. Major projects such as Bybit, Tron, Meta Earth, and Ledger had booths, along with representatives from the Turkish Capital Markets Board (SPK) and various banks.

Based on our observations, around 60% of attendees were international and 40% were local participants from Türkiye.

:movie_camera: Our Participation

We were actively present for two days, conducting interviews and engaging with participants. Some of the videos are already published, while others are still in production.

Most interviews were conducted in English for two key reasons:

  1. Many Turkish attendees were relatively shy and preferred staying around booth areas.
  2. International attendees were noticeably more open, cheerful, and engaging—something clearly reflected in our video content.

A few Turkish participants requested not to be featured in public videos, and we fully respected their wishes. Nevertheless, we gathered a solid library of engaging footage.

:handshake: Key Outcomes

  • We distributed ZEC giveaways to 25+ individuals via Zashi wallets, ranging between 0.2–0.3 ZEC.
  • We interviewed and photographed with several Turkish crypto influencers (2 preferred their videos not be shared).
  • We had a meaningful conversation with the Qubit Türkiye team and will explore community collaboration opportunities.
  • We met with two different university blockchain clubs and agreed to organize on-campus events and conferences in the upcoming academic term.
  • We connected with Eyüp, a prominent YouTube content creator, and discussed strategies to boost Zcash’s presence in both local and global media. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for next week.
  • We also had a warm chat with Zina from the Tronex team, and we’ll continue communication.

:bullseye: Final Thoughts

Throughout the event, we gave our all to ensure maximum visibility and outreach. We built valuable relationships and planted seeds for future collaborations.

We’re particularly excited about engaging with university communities, as organizing educational seminars and workshops is something we’re highly passionate about.

:rocket: Looking Ahead

Had we secured a dedicated booth, we estimate we could have conducted 100+ interviews and onboarded 200+ new Zcash wallet users. Still, this is only the beginning—and we’re confident future events will be even more impactful.

We hope you’re pleased with the outcomes. Your feedback means a lot to us.

Zcash Türkiye team is always ready to represent and grow the project in the best way possible.

I’ll drop the link to this page each time a new video is published. We genuinely did our best. We probably attempted around 70–80 interviews, but had to cancel some that didn’t work out. These are things done with an amateur spirit, and we believe we’ve succeeded.
