Kralux for ZCG (December 2025)

Meritocracy, Accountability, and the Fight for Digital Cash

Who I Am & Motivation I am a hardware/software developer and entrepreneur who sold my company to a Fortune 500 firm within the last five years. Before that, I developed integrated circuits and sold my first software project (in assembly) at age 16. I am an OG Bitcoiner and long-term ZEC holder who views crypto not merely as an asset, but as the last hope for freedom and the antidote to global control. I am self-nominating not for the stipend—I am financially independent—but because I believe Zcash is crucial to the survival of freedom in this world. My goal is to bring a strict, meritocratic business mindset to the ZCG to ensure every dollar of the treasury is spent effectively.

Vision for Zcash I believe we must return to Satoshi’s original vision: cryptocurrency as peer-to-peer digital cash. While Bitcoin has succeeded as a Store of Value (SoV), it lacks the fungibility required for a true Medium of Exchange (MoE) and Unit of Account. Zcash solves this through privacy, which is fungibility. With the faster network and the upcoming Tachyon upgrade, Zcash has a much better shot at becoming the dominant MoE than Bitcoin. My vision is to relentlessly drive ZEC towards acceptability and usability as private digital cash.

A Deliverables-Based Grant Philosophy If elected, I will minimize waste by enforcing a “deliverables-first” funding model. I do not believe in awarding full grant amounts upfront or funding “half-baked” projects. Payments should be milestone-based and heavily weighted toward the back end, paid only when value is fully delivered. The treasury is not a social fund; it is a war chest for building useful tools. I will advocate for a system where payment is a reward for successful execution, ensuring that the community pays for results, not just promises.

Growth, Marketing, and Transparency To grow our user base, we must lower barriers to entry and advocate aggressively for shielded adoption. I support funding marketing initiatives rooted in education, rather than empty hype. Furthermore, I want to see greater visibility into the grant process itself, including real-time dashboards advertised on social platforms to show exactly where funds are going and what they are achieving. I also support exploring mechanisms for token-holder voting to give the community a direct voice in guiding high-level priorities.

Commitment I am here to serve the Zcash mission. My technical background allows me to deeply understand the hardware and software proposals we receive, while my business experience ensures I can evaluate their economic viability. I am ready to help steward the ZCG with a focus on efficiency, accountability, and the unyielding pursuit of a private, free financial future.

Your vision resonates with me.

I think you articulate this point perfectly:

After having spoken to @kralux for 2 hours the other day I am convinced that he is the most qualified candidate and has a strong strategy for ZCG and ZCash. He also has the very important skill of being able to evaluate proposals on a technical level and whether the teams behind them are the ones to do it. He also seems very principled and I believe he will be a good steward of the treasury as we work to make ZCash the best and most successful peer-to-peer digital cash.

Therefore I am publicly endorsing him as the best ZCG candidate by far.

I’ve been very impressed by @kralux likewise, and he has my endorsement too.

Hi @kralux ,

The Zcash Community has invested a lot of resources into Zcash Shielded Asset development. In 2026, it appears this innovation will finally become available to the market. Building a software application is great but it only adds value if it is servicing some sort of niche in the market.

How do you evaluate the potential of Zcash Shielded Assets?

What niche could ZSA fulfill?

How could you as a member of ZCG grow and expand ZSA?

Thank you

Hi @kworks ,

Thank you for your interest in my views on this topic.

Clearly, ZSA have a huge potential (ERC20 is what made ETH so valuable).
The main applications I see on ZSA are stable coins (which is HUGE) and also tokens.
The fact that now both can be private is crucial (note that private stable coins already exist like the fUSD on ZANO for instance but it is not well known like ZEC).

Having privacy for tokens cannot be overstated. This opens up a lot of new opportunities, like private token / stock issuance, … Basically anything that tokens have been used for but with privacy which opens the door to commercially sensitive finance in my opinion because without privacy most companies aren’t willing to use tokens in a serious way.
Many use-cases of RWA (real-world assets) and supply chain require privacy for competitive purposes and security so these will be enabled by ZSAs.

I saw that Swiss payment startup Centi has expressed strong interest in using ZSAs to issue a Swiss Franc stablecoin. That is just one example.
The viewing key support can also satisfy AML/KYC requirements for on/off ramps (I am not a fan of it but it may enable some companies to operate whereas they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to). Options are usually good.

These ZSAs will increase demand for ZEC and make it more valuable, not only in terms of the fees but also the fundamental value of the network.

As a member of ZCG, our role is to fund the adoption layer.
There are several layers to this:

  1. Wallet funding to ensure good support of ZSA without making the UI/UX too clunky
  2. Liquidity bootstrap grant to help the first companies get setup for stable coins (audit, legal fees, …). We could even imagine the ZCG be directly funding the purchase of USD for that purpose and possibly even get some interest in it, although we’d have to double-check on the legality of that.
  3. Shielded DEX funding grants to enable the atomic swaps between ZEC and ZSAs.
  4. Funding grants for SDKs that enable more and easier development of apps for ZSAs.

There are probably more ideas that could be funded but these should at least start to bootstrap the ecosystem in a meaningful way.

Let me know if you have more questions or would like to have a call.

Thank you for your diligence on this subject.
