Hi,
I’ve been attempting to transition to Linux (Solus currently) on my main desktop. When I’m not gaming, I use my GPU to mine ZCash. On Windows, I can still do all my normal tasks (web browsing, etc.) with no detrimental effects. However, on linux my desktop takes a huge hit in responsiveness. If I’m just typing into a console it’s not very noticeable, but when I’m doing something like web browsing, it gets really bad. On a graphic-heavy website, it gets so laggy that it becomes totally unusable. I should mention I’m using a 1080ti with proprietary driver.
Any idea what I can do to alleviate things? I’ve tried a couple different mining programs, different browsers, and ForceFullCompositionPipelineto no avail.
