I have noted that 16.9 and 16.6 work fine but certainly 16.3 is worse on performance. Using 16.10 I seem to be equal to 16.9 across a range of AMD cards (7870s to 480s)
Trolloniex, you are right about the powerful cpu. Using i7 4790k to get those speeds. It runs at a constant 50% utilization. Previous cpu was a celeron that was bottlenecking performance.

Claymore’s ZEC miner is garbage, and people are rightly pissed off about him enriching himself off using other people’s work. After several days of testing side by side with identical 6 GPU rigs, one running Ubuntu 16.04 w/ Silent Army and the other running Windows 10 w/ Claymore, I’ve determined conclusively that Claymore’s miner does fully 5% less H/s than Silent Army using the exact same hardware. All the Claymore haters are 100% right. Switched Windows rig to Ubuntu.
EDIT: Claymore v.3.0 shows an improvement, so I may have been too quick to criticize.

I guess it depends on the hardware. I’m getting 30% better results with Claymore’s miner in both Ubuntu and Win8.1 than silentarmy. But I have GCN 1 cards (HD 7970). I also don’t mind his devfee. Developers need to eat too and we need them.

Was this with new version 2.1 and Intensity setting at 2? With this setting, I get easily 15% more from claymore 2.1 on windows than SA or Claymore or any other on Ubuntu.

v3.0 is a killer argument for Claymore :-). It’s 20% faster for me than v2.0. Overall now 80% faster for me than silentarmy, but it depends on hardware I guess. CPU usage and power consumption go up 5% compared to v2.0. I’d really like to see linux version 3 now :-).

with your i5, you should try -i 2. Will hit over 60sols on RX480
