Are you using Windows 10?
Yes. Here’s the rest of the mandatory 20 characters.
The drivers that work better for me are crimson 16.10.1. I have Sapphire 290x and 290. People are reporting problems or speed down with latest relive drivers.
Before I tried to mine with Nicehash, I wasn’t having any issues. If it’s something caused by Nicehash, what could it be? Does Nicehash change any settings that could be causing problems with Claymore? Plus, my PC actually shuts down without any warning after a couple of minutes, so it’s a fairly serious issue.
I’ve never tried nicehash. You could discard other issues by uninstalling the drivers with AMD Clean Uninstall Utility and installing an earlier version like 16.10.x
Ok so upon closer inspection the issue I seem to be having is with GPU #1, or the R9 290x. The R9 290x’s fans aren’t speeding up. The max that they went to was like 12% when the card was at 90 celcius. When the 290x overheats (around 95c I think) the system shuts down.
So does anyone know why/how Nicehash changed this and how I can fix it? Also, it seems that I don’t know how to set setting in a batch file for multiple GPUs…
Had same problem with latest drivers.
With 15.12. Works fine.
Claymore 9.2 linux burned 2 rx480 after 2 weeks… no words
Are you sure about ? What for GPU brand ?
Did you monitor the temps over those two weeks?
obviously , never over 70 °C, there are Nitro RX 480 8GB.
In the logs there are a lot of error, like VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS
Strange i also had a rx 480 nitro oc 8G fail using 9.2 Claymore but I’m not sure what caused it, rig with 5 rx480 all same cards and rig crashed last card was dead and no idea why but put it down to bad card it was 5 weeks old would light up sapphire logo but not showing in window or fans spinning up like others at start up she’s just dead
Any idea what is the output performance for : XFX RX 480 RS, 4GB ?
Should be around 220s/s for 4G 480 stock
Claymore v 10.0 is out now.
I’m running a 480 and a 470 on win10 and keep getting these errors, but only after 20-40 minutes of mining, than i have to restart… Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?
I’m not getting it on version 9.0 but the its much slower. (only on 9.1+)
How are you connecting to your local network? Do you have a VPN activated by any chance? If you have a VPN like Witopia up, disconnect, restart the miner and let it connect first.
No vpn, I have another rig running on the same network and running version 10 just fine
