Miner- Optiminer/Zcash GPU miner v1.7!

i dont like unity, i like KDE plasma
i use manjaro arch KDE on my personal computers
i dont even like debian distros in comparison to antergos or manjaros Arch distros

try manjaro or antergos :slight_smile: wayyyy better
the AUR is awesome,… way better for installing everything… so much more stuff you can install… and it all works together soooo much better than with debian distros

might try to install KDE tomorrow on the rigs

I switched from xfce to Gnome. Maybe I switch back… time will tell.

Yea I am used to green terminals. And cmatrix is just funny.

sudo apt install cmatrix
$ cmatrix -b -u 10

Have to write i idle script though.

also you dual boot? you just using grub2 for dual boot? you have uefi bios?

Well, for mining, I like to go as simple as possible. So just openssh-server and byobu, unplug everything except power and net, and that’s it :slight_smile:. But for office computer sure, why not, I like it pretty.

yeah maybe xfce is better for mining rigs

I cannot say for sur, because my rig crashes when I go over 1130 (weak psu I think). But just before the crash I 120+ with 1175.

You have to try your own settings. My mem timings may not be the same as yours.

Bleep. GPU1 just disabled in SA5.

Don’t wanna stop hashing for playing w/ timings, so 110 is pretty good i think :wink:
Mem:
$ cat /sys/class/drm/card*/device/pp_dpm_mclk | grep *
1: 1950Mhz *
1: 1950Mhz *
1: 1950Mhz *

and all timings copied from 1375.
Stable so far. No reboots/crashes from first start of optiminer.

It should work for overclocking too!

ROCm System Management Interface

This repository includes the rocm-smi tool. This tool exposes functionality for
clock and temperature management of your ROCm enabled system.

cool ill check that out tomorrow

if you dual boot with UEFI, install REFIND and Grub Customizer to fix up your dual boot menus
I always use it… i have a multi-boot 5 OS’s on this laptop

if you dont have UEFI, install BURG

Dev is going to buy a Ferrari pretty soon

8.148868279999997 ZEC Profit so far => 1.36 BTC => $952

The same on Ubuntu with RX470. What risers are u use?

Thanks for the tip. So far it was sufficient for me to use standard built-in Grub in Ubuntu. I just do update-grub after OS install and occasionally change the default system in /etc/default/grub if I need to boot into another system after reboot via ssh. Anything more is jewelry :sunglasses:.

Yeah , and you keep covering the story

Crappy ones. V3 USB powered raiser x16 to x1. Horribly bad soldering job. 1 out of 13 works.

Bought some V6 raisers from cryptomined.

Right now I run 1 RX470 in the x16 slot, 1 RX 470 in a x1 slot which i cutted out to fit the card, and the third RX470 is connected via the one working raiser.

Claymore is working solid in this config on Windows 10. I will run SA5 on all cards now in Linux to see if the one card also shuts down. Maybe it is related to Linux.

But how do we really know that address was it? Anyway, I don’t really care anymore, as long as the miner gives me this much hashpower, I will use it until better alternative comes.

I agree on that.

Even if the fee is 50% (allready substracted from the hashrate), it is still the fastest miner right now.

It was trivial to figure out the payment address, just looked at the stratum mining protocol data submitted.

Hi,

Did you found a solution for this kind of issues ?

Thx
