Miner- Zogminer: Linux SILENTARMY

Just keep in mind guys that zogminer, which is now trying to help get SILENTARMY kernel in place will NOT run on CUDA.

There is a chance that SILENTARMY will run on nvidia, but it’s not likely. Nvidia has opencl but it is from what i hear shit

Sorry if this q is redundant but are you planning to port to windows and have multi-gpu support (I assume the latter for sure), and any rough eta on those things?

Could you also do that for amd cards? <<

CUDA 7.5 works better with most NVIDIA cards except for GTX 1000 series who need cuda 8.0

Sorry to ask here but looks like many people follow  am i right that nicehash windows releases just work with nvidea cards? do they plan to add opencl support or where do i have to look? Hope zogminer will support it?

see thats why im mostly certain that trumpsolver is made more for cuda ( +trump.dll ) it could be -0d instead of -cd and has the proper 0d.dll has str4d POW ( ive try it work num#1 but in vein i mean i see i solve stuff but i actually didnnt mine it)
so having zoghas pow (hash) and pythin POW sol

my point is it could be two software from one folder then 2 seperate miner doing same thing

google blocked your download. Virus?

Sorry, this release don’t work yet.

Hello everyone,
is it possible to mine via a Radeon HD6000 GPU atm?
Thank you!
eleven

I get

Windows 7 / 15.301.1901.0 / Radeon HD 6900 series
“no OpenCL GPU devices found”

type clinfo check if you have opencl instlled

is ther any windows 64bit version of zog miner?

i will try solo mining

Guys, do you see your stats when using supernova pool?

I am running with:
./src/zcash-miner -G -S=1 -stratum=stratum+tcp://zec-eu.suprnova.cc:2142 -user=blah -password=blahblah

And see my hashrate in console, however it seems there is no contribution to the pool because supernova doesn’t show anything in my dashboard.

Same for me, yesterday git commit worked well with supernova, not today

October 28 update:

Haven’t slept more than two hours last night. I finally got the new kernel (silentarmy) to work on our codebase. For now only test mining works. Due to this kernel doing some optimizations on blake2b calculation it was more difficult to integrate than expected. Specially with zcashd and stratum.

That takes me to my next point, I also got stratum to work today and will commit the changes. Though due to the new kernel, pools need to provide an special nonce, so I will have to talk to pool admins before we can mine, so they open a port for us with the special nonce.

Next, we will be integrating the new kernel in zcashd, for solo mining.

@Age and @voxelot are also working on multi-gpu and command queue work optimization to improve hashrate.

I am exhausted now and will take a little break, and sleep a lot!

Thanks for the support!

setup a ZEC adress so we can mine to your adress directly

Hey thanks! Yeah we’ve been so busy we forgot to set up a mainnet wallet. But we are focusing on finishing.

I’ll wait till Omar wakes up so we can both make our addresses together and post them.

Hey there, I am getting
[OPENCL]:CL ERROR:CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES
[OPENCL]:CL ERROR:CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES
[OPENCL]:CL ERROR:CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES
Kernel run took 0 ms. (-nan H/s)

am using ubuntu 16.04 and NVIDIA GeForce 1070
Anyone can help?

Can the instructions to use for solo mining be cleared. Thanks. @omaralv @voxelot

Long time not checked the thread :frowning: any windows solution for amd cards yet?

We are keeping those setting and trying to put a PR together for zcash right now. We think that the only thing keeping the kernel from mining in zcash was zogminers old zcash base. We couldn’t connect to peers and it may have confused the daemon. We are unsure at this time. We just finished porting silentarmy/zogminer into zcash and are building now. Fingers crossed
