I’m thrilled to report that the MFZ flipbook has now been downloaded more than 500 times! When it was first posted, I was hoping we would reach this milestone within one year. Instead it only took about two months! 
Thank you all for getting the word out about this spectacular Zcash resource, created by our talented community.
Ahead of the launch of the v2 effort in September, it would be incredibly helpful to the future team to receive page edits or suggestions of any kind via either this form or by opening a github issue (special thanks to @daira who submitted an issue the very first day 
#grateful).
Thank you in advance for any edits or suggestions you are willing to submit when reading through the book. Critical feedback is exactly what is needed at this juncture.

This week we kicked off ‘team formation’ at the MFZ v2 weekly meeting! We have three areas of focus this sprint:
- Proofreading text
- Improvement of graphics
- Improvement of page layout
We have some new and returning volunteers, all are welcome! Please reach out to me via DM on Discord or X @ elisehamdon or complete the Offer to Assist form linked at the top of our planning worksheet. Please join us!
@ZecHub will be administering bounties for major contributors at the conclusion of v2. Thank you @squirrel and @dismad for your ongoing willingness to support this project!

Tentative date: Book launch on December 9th!
The My First Zcash book will be made available on Amazon both as a paperback book and Kindle. This is the English language version.
Stay tuned for details!
Translated paperback and Kindle versions will be available in 2025 - join the V3 team this January if you’re willing to help with translations and are a native speaker.

Book Launch Info
Book launch moved to early February!
At today’s MFZ meeting, we decided to move the Amazon book and Kindle launch to February. This will allow contributors who have been working on a variety of Zcash ecosystem projects over this past month extra time to complete their MFZ tasks.
V3 Translation Team Info
Translation of the book will begin in early March! Which languages will we translate the book into? Good question! Let’s see…our V1 team was composed of Zcashers from the countries represented on this map, where participants self-reported their location.
The scope of active MFZ participants grew significantly during V2, represented across the 10+ Chapter 5 translations for Global Education Day.
Can our bigger-than-ever-team translate the book into 10+ languages in 2025? Perhaps! Please consider joining the V3 translation team, stop by a MFZ meeting to learn more.
What a Year for MFZ!
2024 has been a remarkable journey for MFZ, transforming our vision into reality through collective effort and determination. The V1 and V2 teams demonstrated exceptional collaboration and mutual respect throughout the development process. Our shared commitment has made MFZ 2024 an undeniable triumph. Congratulations to every member of the V1 and V2 teams for this remarkable achievement!

MFZ is an important project for Zcash. Not only does it make Zcash understandable even for people who don’t know much about development and code, it’s simple and easy to read. It’s also very interesting because it places Zcash in the context of the history of the evolution of money. I feel privileged to work with such talented people and be part of this project. Thanks @elisehamdon for the confidence.
