thanks…
with my K20 i played with those; threads x buffers = no of cores
kinda disappointingly low performance, went and bought a gtx1070 in disgust
Will try again soon after i get a new mobo installed in a 2nd box
… also, there’s some xpm cuda miner bashed about to do zcash, supposed an improvement some say
Hi all,
I’m having a hard time finding debug information about this #mining issue on Google, so hopeful some folks here will know what to do.
TLDR – I have a 6 x GTX 1070 rig that I’m using to mine equihash. 4 of the GPUs run in perf level P2, the other 2 run in perf level P8. The former get 30 Sol/s each. The latter get 5 Sol/s each.
Here’s what my perf looks like if I run it on GPU #0:
./nheqminer_cuda_tromp -l equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 -u 1Kj1d2vFfCNfy2coNENxnUEQRPTsbHicen.worker1 -t 0 -cd 0
[08:19:42][0x00007f64913e9740] Speed [300 sec]: 15.0287 I/s, 29.3621 Sols
Here’s what my perf looks like if I run it on GPU #1:
./nheqminer_cuda_tromp -l equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 -u 1Kj1d2vFfCNfy2coNENxnUEQRPTsbHicen.worker1 -t 0 -cd 0
[08:22:41][0x00007f919c592740] Speed [300 sec]: 2.89559 I/s, 5.49345 Sols/s
Here’s what my perf looks like if I run it on all GPUs:
./nheqminer_cuda_tromp -l equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 -u 1Kj1d2vFfCNfy2coNENxnUEQRPTsbHicen.worker1 -t 0 -cd 0 1 2 3 4 5
[0x00007fee8b5d0740] Speed [300 sec]: 64.0553 I/s, 124.01 Sols/s
Here’s what nvidia-smi looks like:

Any ideas? How can I get the 2nd GPU the 5th GPU to be in perf state P2?
Can’t help you with the perf state but you should get a better miner than the nheqminer. Silent army will give you around 75-80 sol/s on a 1070.
Are you talking about Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) ?
The post advertises only “GeForce GTX1070: 31,5 sol/s (with silentarmy)”.
EDIT: was able to get all GPUs back up to peak performance by rebooting the machine.
Curious: Do you know of any equihash pools / miners that can get 60 Sol /s with a GTX 1070? I think the source of our miscommunication earlier was that i’m mining equihash whereas you’re talking about zcash.
I’m sorry I don’t understand the distinction, aren’t zcash miners actually just hashing equihash algorithm? Or is the difference the addition of a “solver”? Anyway - the miner I am using with my 1070 is the one referred to here:
…and my 1070 is getting 75-80 sol/s using it. It required the installation of CGWIN with Python packages.
Just as a point of interest - I also run a forked version of nheqminer (at the same time as running the above miner) on 4 threads of my core i5 4690K which provides an additional 15-18 sol/s and doesn’t seem to effect the hash rate of the GPU miner. That one is here:
im getting like 85-90 sol with silent army v5 windows build by https://github.com/dagf2101/silentarmy using the python trick to run it on windows 10 with 205+ core and 650+ memory 12% overvoltage evga 1070 gtx
I have been looking to tryout a Windows server 2012r2 with a nvidia k200 series on it for mining and see how it behaves, anyone know of a gpu miner that can use it? i have tried everything and still no luck
Thank you so much in advance:)
Use cd 0 (for one GPU) CPU will autorun with no -t value
get an error saying there are no CUDA devices
Don’t follow the advice of getting nheqminer. This is stupid. You’ll only be working to share your GPU resource to a pool, and you’ll not get any ZCash, but you’ll give ZCash to the contract buyers. You’ll only get bitcoins.
This is the most shady system I’ve ever seen.
i’d be happy at this point to have any miner actually using the gpu, no luck so far with any on this nvidia series
guess they aren’t too common and no one bothered with them, can’t find a single reference to it anywhere
I explicitly stated the suprnova fork… not the original nicehash one
i used the supernova fork:)
Hello! I try to mine with SA on the following device:
Name: ‘Tesla K40m’

DriverVersion: 7.5000
ToolkitVersion: 5.5000

ClockRateKHz: 745000
ComputeMode: ‘Default’
GPUOverlapsTransfers: 1
KernelExecutionTimeout: 0
CanMapHostMemory: 1

I have 10 Sol/s. I seems to be too small for me. Moreover, SA used only 10% of vRAM.
Could you help me? May be i should change some default properties?
How ? What a miner you use ?
@djeZo What’s the power draw from the wall outlet?
