Proposal to seek legal advice on opening up Zcash Trademarks to royalty-free commercial use

Hey everyone! I recently reached out to the Zcash Foundation about this. The conversation was timely, professional, and I now have a signed, royalty-free trademark licensing agreement.

I’d encourage anyone thinking of selling stuff with their trademark to do so.

Check out my officially licensed Zcash merchandise at my store: https://silentdesign.club!

Thank you to the Foundation and to Alex for your help!

Cool to have another Zcash swag shop!

Point of clarification:

Are the profits somehow given back to the Zcash Foundation?

Good question. Zcash is the outlier in the store, as they’ve explicitly asked for the profits from their sales to be donated to the other organizations.

I’ve added the following line to the Zcash item descriptions:

 The Zcash Foundation has asked for the profits from the sale of Zcash merchandise to be donated to the other non-profit and open-source projects listed on Silent Design Club!

Great :+1: I figured something like that would be the case, but just wanted to ask for clarification.

Cool designs, I like the blackout logo. Any plans to add Zcash as a payment option?

I’ll be looking into BTCPay Server when their Zcash integration is complete. Do you have any recommendations?

There are also paid alternatives if you want to integrate Zcash into your store. I remember NowPayments offers it. I still prefer open source solutions but paid ones are fine too as long as it’s non-custodial.
